  1. The more this goes on, the more it seems like a big marketing ploy to get the city of Columbus to pay for a nice new stadium downtown. Would all of the big Crew fans (all 5,000 of them) still be pissed at this owner if this strategy worked and the Crew got a nice new stadium in the heart of downtown Columbus?
  2. This. I don't fault anyone for finding a way to keep more of their income from the crooks. Only people with a victim mentality blame the rich for their short comings.
  3. I hope Common man was making fun of him at least?
  4. Clippers play literally downtown lol Did you not know the Clippers moved?
  5. The Crew ranked like 20th out of 22 MLS teams in attendance this year and from my understanding it has been around that for a while. The stadium is old and stupid. It's pretty much a big high school football stadium. The new owner is making a business decision and not an emotional one. He has no ties to this city so why would he care? It's a business after all and right now his business is failing. Any good Owner, President, CEO would make a big move to save it. Good for him. I hope they move and make a lot of money. I'm only saying this because I don't give 2 fucks about soccer but if it were the Cavaliers, Bengals or Indians I would be right there with you guys bitching. But seeing through non-biased glasses, this is a very smart move that is almost guaranteed to pay off. Don't they only play good soccer in other countries anyways? Isn't the MLS regarded as a joke around the world to other soccer fans/organizations?
  6. I'm honestly worried about every game on our schedule left except for Illinois. If we get past Penn State we have to go @Iowa which could be a night game (Still TBD). Iowa is tough to beat at home, and at night. Ask Penn State. Then we play Michigan State who always seems to play us tough. They also look like a legitimate top 15-20 team. And then of course Michigan. They likely won't be in the playoff running by this time, but they could salvage their season by ruining ours.
  7. If I had to make a Playoff prediction right now given the remaining schedules and how I think teams are playing I'd say... SEC: Alabama (Don't really need an explanation) B1G: Ohio State (I think they are clicking right now) Big 12: Oklahoma (I see them beating TCU) ACC: Clemson (Bad loss but still a great team, no other real threats in the ACC for them) I think this year the 4 playoff teams will be pretty clear cut. Since everyone at the top has at least 1 virtual play in game remaining and that's not even including their conference championship game, I don't think there will be a ton of controversy. The only way I could see controversy is with some huge upsets (very well possible) or a Pac team like USC or Washington winning out along with every other conference having a 0 or 1 loss team left.
  8. It'll play itself out. Every team in the top 12 still has to play a team that's also in the top 12. A lot of elimination games to be played.
  9. Ohio State is looking scary good all of the sudden. I'll retract that statement if we look horrible in 2 weeks when we play Penn St but as of right now it's hard to say otherwise
  10. Damn what an odd night. Good for OSU though. Just shows, road night games are weird. That's why I think I'm the most worried about @Iowa
  11. Having to miss work Tuesday morning to go to court for calling someone by the wrong pronoun.
  12. Then swing at a pitch at their ankles
  13. If an author writes a great award winning book are you crediting the keyboard?
  14. It would be one thing if I thought the Indians lost playing their best ball. That's not a knock on the Yankees, they definitely played great and are a big reason why the Indians didn't play great. But after watching the Indians all season, they just didn't seem to have the same juice or pop that they did all year. That fire just wasn't there. I haven't seen Kluber unable to locate his pitches like that all year. He didn't even look mediocre, he looked bad. You can't expect to win a series if you're ace and probable Cy Young winner has his worst 2 outings all season in a 5 game series, your best hitter (Jose Ramirez) hits under .100 and you average twice as many errors per game over a 5 game span than you did all season. The end of that game (top of the 9th) was very fitting to how the series was. Jay Bruce throws a lazy ball back into Lindor, Lindor can't field it, Todd Frazier opportunistically gets from 1st all the way home on a single due to lazy fielding by the Indians. Like I said, if we would have lost playing our best ball, that's one thing but we just didn't look like the same team I watched in the 2nd half of the regular season so it's just disappointing.
  15. I'm on the I'm done with baseball until about September next year bandwagon if the Lindians are still in it
  16. Nothing like winning 102 games and then blowing 3 straight in the ALDS. Great job, Lindians!
  17. I'm nervous but the things that make me feel better... We're at home (2-0 in this series at home) Kluber is pitching (best pitcher in baseball, very unlikely he will have another outing like game 2) Andrew Miller is completely rested Terry Francona is the manager
  18. In before everyone calls you a conspiracy theorist simply for questioning anything that happened.
  19. Saw that hit live. Everyone in the crowd was so confused and then the boo birds came in heavy. If officials start fagging that, the game as we know it will be over. It's a fucking contact sport. You cannot penalize someone for hitting "too hard." It's the same bullshit with Vontaze Burfict. The NFL refs target him and make unfair calls for legal hits and suspend him for it.
  20. Are we betting on your hypotheticals or mine?
  21. It's like a known thing throughout college football that Alabama's schedule is a complete joke with evidence backing it. The only way you can claim Ohio State's schedule is a joke is by predicting future worst case scenario hypotheticals like Michigan State losing to Minnesota and Michigan losing to Indiana which is absolutely ridiculous. You act like UGA is something great for beating down with their only real good win being against Notre Dame by 1 point who nobody thinks is a national title contender. I'm not discrediting Alabama as I think they are legitimately a top 1-3 team this year. But don't pretend like they have some brutal schedule or that the SEC is good when it's hot garbage. It's pretty much Alabama......................... Aurbun,Georgia and then everybody else. Penn State will be a top 3 team when they play OSU. Michigan State will have 2 losses (other being to PSU) when they play OSU and will be a top 20 team. Iowa will be a 2 loss team and very well could be a top 25 team when OSU plays them Michigan will probably be a 2 loss team when they play OSU and a likely top 10 team. and IF Ohio State gets to the B1G championship they will play a probable 0-1 loss and top 8 Wisconsin team. Those are realistic hypotheticals. Not hypotheticals assuming a top 15 team will lose to B1G bottom feeders
