  1. I would say the same about you but we all know what you and Kerry are doing. Blowing each other. How’s France doing? Higher taxes working out for them?
  2. Lmao. I'm assuming you're referencing my post. Give me a fucking break. It's not like I said I don't want him. I think Day is going to do a great job and I'm excited we have him. It doesn't need to be an Ohio guy. I stand by my statement that YES I do think it's hard for an outsider to understand the rivalry like someone who was born and grew up here. That doesn't mean I don't want him as coach.
  3. When asked during the press conference what makes The Game special to him, his reply was something along the lines of remembering as a kid watching it with his grandpa. You could kinda hear in his voice that he was somewhat scrambling for an answer. He’s from New Hampshire. It’s hard to imagine him having the same respect for the rivalry as an Ohio or Michigan guy but who knows.
  4. Conspiracy 2 tOSU somehow thinks/knows Harbaugh is leaving for the NFL. scUM had their eye on our future (Day) and Urban knew it. Urban also knew he wasn’t going to coach much longer, at best 1-2 years. Looked at himself in the mirror and did what was best for the program by stepping down and giving a guy he trusts and knows will do an outstanding job the chance. tOSU in return gives Urban a cake gig working for the University. *paraphrased a theory from Eleven Warriors* Do you guys think Urban even coaches this year if he doesn’t sign that extension before all that crap goes down?
  5. I trust forum rumors more than that moron. I'm sure Urban knows he cannot continue to pull the "health" card, run away for a year then come back again. Anyone that still has respect for him will lose it. LeBron did it though when I didn't think he would and that dude is about as egotistical as it gets and seems to care more about his reputation than anything so who knows.
  6. Thankful for what Urban has done here. I think most of us knew when he was hired, at best we were getting 10 years from him. He's not a long term guy and he never has been. He's a great coach, like we discussed before possibly the greatest of all time and if not certainly top 2-3. He does not handle stress well though. He lets things linger and you can tell he keeps it on his mind and it gets to him. Whether it's the cyst thing or the scandal or whatever, the stress was his ultimate demise. I wonder if they will announce Day is their guy or if they are going to at least open it up for interviews?
  7. A 6 team playoff is probably the best given there always seems to be the playoff 4 and 2 teams behind them that are right there as well. For example, Michigan really would have no business in the playoff this year in an 8 team format. BUT for arguments sake you could... -Take out conference championship games, take out conference divisions and select a conference champion the classic style. This will eliminate the chances a 4 or 5 loss team gets in (like Northwestern or Pitt) -P5 conference champions get in (every conference is represented) -3 at large bids (gives a team like UCF a shot)
  8. This proves how inconsistent the committee is. Last year Ohio States schedule was considerably tougher than Bama’s. We had way more quality victories and were conference champs but had 2 losses to Bamas 1. Who got in? Note: I’m not saying we were better than Bama, we weren’t. But the point is their argument last year was “best team” this year it’s “most deserving” We need an 8 team fucking playoff
  9. Nice to see. I wonder if anyone will sit out?
  10. How do you guys think Tate Martell will play in the Rose bowl?
  11. They went with the safest pick but the worst team of the 3. Oklahoma “deserved” it but the argument they’ve always made in years past is the best 4 teams. UGA and OSU are close but I think you give the edge to Ohio State because of Meyer. I can’t be too upset just because we looked like shit most of the season. I think if we only lost to Purdue 35-20 like we should have and we beat Maryland by double digits we easily get in
  12. I agree with this. We seem to be playing better the past few weeks, particularly on defense. Northwestern is a solid team, they just turned it on too late. They’re a legit top 15 team but not on paper. We have a tough argument because we looked like shit all year and waited until now to turn it on. If we just lost to Purdue by less than 10 or even 2 TDs, I think we get in. Letting them run the score up when they weren’t even trying to, is gonna be the difference. You can’t lose by 29 to a 6-6 Purdue team. Unacceptable. With that said, I think we could really compete with Bama after watching them today.
  13. Betting odds Haskins doesn’t play in the Rose Bowl
  14. He should just delete his emails and anything personal and/or classified. You're allowed to do that, right?
  15. It wouldn't shock me if he was just saying that and then after everything is all said and done after the season he stepped down. It will be a sad day when Urban leaves. I think a lot of Buckeye fans take for granted what he has done here. Most people predicted him to only last 5-10 years here though from the beginning. My biggest concern is how this effects recruiting. If Day is the coach in waiting, I hope Urban teaches him his Godly ways and it's a smooth transition from winning a lot of games to winning a lot of games (and beating scUM).
  16. Most people haven’t. You get a pass when you back your way in and win. Like Ohio State in 2014. Ohio State might have won in 2012 and probably would have won in 2015 given the opportunity
  17. Yeah I guess after you mention that and I thought about one other thing as well. Saban has gotten the ball to fall his way more often than not where Urban hasn’t. Examples: 2011 Alabama lost to LSU then got another shot in the NC game and won (hard to beat a good team twice) 2012: Alabama got in over OSU due to OSU having sanctions or it would have been OSU/ND 2015: Ohio State gets left out (despite having the most talented team in college football) because of a last second loss to a very good MSU team. No way Alabama gets left out if roles were reversed. 2017: Alabama gets in over the Buckeyes despite not winning their conference. Refer to 2015, Alabama getting the benefit of the doubt but not the Buckeyes. I get Alabama has converted on their opportunities so gotta give them credit but the point is, they have gotten opportunities where Ohio State has not.
  18. As much as I hate Saban, I don't think Urban can top what Nick has built at Bama. They are the best dynasty in college football history and it's not even close honestly.
  19. At the end of the day, Urban is the 2nd best coach in college football and probably the 2nd or 3rd best of all time. Getting an Urban Meyer is rare even for a blue blood program like the Buckeyes.
  20. I think if Milton didn’t get hurt for UCF, they would have put Michigan behind them, still giving them an outside shot at the playoff. What putting UCF behind Michigan means to me is even with the most insane chaos this weekend, they’re not getting in. The committee is protecting themselves with Michigan as their block.
  21. What if scenario: Georgia beats Alabama Texas beats Oklahoma Ohio State beats Northwestern Final 4 Clemson Georgia Notre Dame Alabama Alabama: Doesn't win it's conference 2 years in a row, yet sneaks its way into the playoffs. Ohio State: Wins it's conference 2 years in a row, but gets snubbed by the committee in back to back years.
  22. The new Denali trucks are beautiful but there aren't a whole lot of people that fit the demographic to buy one. As far as cars go, I hate to say it but I'd prefer a Kia Optima over a Chevy Malibu. Talk about boring.
