I'm a little late, but man did our offense looking deadly. Although VaTech was winning at halftime, I never felt like the game was in jeopardy. They were killing us with trickery and we were killing ourselves with crucial turnovers, along with a awful call on that fumble that was ruled incomplete (we likely go up 17-0 or go for it on 4th and go up 21-0, probably win the game by however much we want at that point). Braxton somehow exceeded expectations and could very well be our #1 guy at receiver (but most likely will stay Thomas). Cardale played well, made some big plays. I hated the read option with him though. Elliot doesn't get a carry until what, the 3rd drive and houses it for 80. Kid is special. I was on Hawaii's football message board (Yes they actually have one lol). They were mostly being sarcastic about beating us, but the legitimate comments were saying how they want Coach Chow to limit the starters due to the likelyhood of the entire team getting injured....srs. Excited to see Marshall and Bosa come back. Wilson and Smith...meh

Yeah, I'm pretty torn between a stock one and an already lifted one. I don't want anything ragged out. I have a few stock ones in mind around my price range. It would obviously be better if I did anything extra on my own because I'd know the ins and outs of what's been done, but if I find out that I think has been done correctly, I'd go for it. It will be a daily and like I said the comfort thing isn't a big deal to me. I honestly probably won't even go off roading all that often (i say that now, but could change). I really just like the look and the driving experience. Driving nicer luxury style cars gets old after a while too if you're a car guy. I look at the uncomfortablness as part of the driving experience and more as a positive. I loved driving my WS6, but the average person would hate it. It was loud, bumpy, jerky, low to the ground and hot as hell in the summer, but that's what us car guys like, it's what makes us different.

Good info guys. I'm deff going to look into some of those areas you hit on. Just a few questions though. Why not buy one already lifted? Probably ragged out? What's the realistic cost if I bought a stock one to do a 3" lift with 33" tires. (cost to do it right without cutting corners).

How hard are the hard tops and soft tops to take off? Just curious if there is any benefit to the soft top besides maybe just being able to store the soft top in the trunk or for the looks.

I'm a single guy with no kids, so seating 4 people isn't an issue for me. I also drove my WS6 through a Mississippi summer with leather seats and no A/C and I didn't mind it. I can justify the vehicle not being super comfortable if I enjoy driving it.

Was wondering also how a soft top would be in the winter in frigid temperatures. I'd like to check it out. Do you have any pics or a link? I'd love a newer jeep, but they're just a little over what I'm looking to spend. Did you have a bad experience with one, or did you just hear about this happening often? If so, what year and model? As far as it getting broken into, I just leave the doors unlocked. I've lived on campus the past 3 years and learned that it's better to just not leave anything valuable in your car and just leave the doors unlocked. The same would apply for the Jeep.

Hey guys, just wanted some opinions on a potential new daily. I'm looking to trade my 04 TL for a 97-06 Wrangler. I'd like an inline 6 manual with a soft top, but am considering a hard top for the right Jeep. Most that I'm considering are between 100-150k miles. My question is, what are some common issues with Wranglers around this mileage? Are they high maintenance? Fairly reasonable to mod them (just lift, tires and some small things)? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

About Braxton coming back. Just because he enrolled for spring semester at OSU does not necessarily mean he is coming back. He can transfer as late as June I think, since he will be transferring for a graduate program. With that being said, does anyone here think he has a shot at the starting job? I mean he won't be able to even throw a ball until sometime in the summer correct? How can he even compete for the starting job if he can't throw a ball? I see this being a 2 man race, with the edge to Jones.
