I'm with you. If we don't win out, we don't deserve it anyways and we'd be doing ourselves a favor by losing before we get throttled in the playoff and ruin our image. Although I don't believe that will happen...

I kinda wish Urban didn't make a point and come out and talk about the whole fighting thing and being kicked off the team. I personally think it's one of the aspects that makes a great rivalry in football. I know I'm not politically correct by saying it, but I enjoy watching this stuff during THE GAME. Am I the only one?

Not surprised to see no movement from the top 7 this week. It was a pretty awful slate of games last week. The next 2 weeks will surely shake things up a bit though.

Could you imagine the uproar throughout the country (outside of the SE) if 3 SEC teams made it? That's a death wish for the committee. There would be no more committee if that happened lol, so it won't. We would go back to a BCS style rankings and leave the human element out of it, but keep a playoff system. So if the committee is sick of this already and just wants this all to be over, the way they could do that is by letting 3 SEC teams have the opportunity. Btw, a big reason why we have a committee and a playoff is because the LSU/Alabama NC game in 2012.

Your argument is valid to an extent. You're assuming that a 2 loss UGA will jump us if they win out, and that Alabama will remain ahead of us if they win out but lose to UGA in the SEC CG. I think the SEC gets 1 team in, and no more. UGA wins out - still have 2 losses, may get in if enough happens ahead of them, but if we win out, we're still ahead of them. Alabama wins out - In Alabama loses in the SEC CG - They may still be in if enough happens in the top 4, but if we win out, we're ahead of them. Miss St. wins out - If we win out, we're ahead of them. Under the right circumstances they could get in, but a lot of things will have to go their way. Of course, if EVERYONE loses...who the fuck knows what happens. We'd have to dive pretty deep into everything if that happens and start looking at 2 loss teams, which is where the SEC would have the best chance of getting 2 teams in, but like I said, that is HIGHLY unlikely.

Tilley, Although I agree that your scenario is the best case scenario, it's not the most realistic. Mizzou may have a shot against Bama, but it's not a good one. I'm not shooting for a 1 or 2 seed, I'm just hoping to get in, because I believe that we can compete with anyone and it's impossible to predict who will seed where anyways. I'm rooting for Mizzou to lose because I'd feel much more confident with UGA playing Bama than Mizzou playing Bama. That being said, if GT beats UGA, UGA will still play Bama if Arkansas beats Mizzou, giving UGA no shot at jumping up in the polls even if they beat Bama by 30. Now, if that plays out like that, we still have Miss St to worry about, but if Ole Miss manages to take their thunder, you're now left with a similar scenario that you mentioned earlier, just kind of flip flopped. Bama 2 losses Miss St 2 losses UGA 3 losses Ole Miss 3 losses Mizzou LOL Who gets in? Hopefully none of the above, and if they do, good. I want to beat them anyways.

Some big games this week. A lot that matter for Ohio State moving forward... Arkansas @ 20 Mizzou - Arkansas must win to give UGA a shot at the West champion 14 Auburn @ 1 Alabama - Auburn winning would be big, for obvious reasons. 13 Arizona St @ 15 Arizona - Winner still has a shot at the P12 south with a UCLA loss 18 Georgia Tech @ 10 UGA - Won't matter as far as conference standings, but it would be nice to see a surging UGA (SEC) team get throttled by a weak GT team. Another way to look at it, is if GT wins, and they go on to beat FSU, that would help FSU... 25 Minnesota @ 16 Wisconsin - Winner plays us 4 Miss St @ 8 Ole Miss - Gotta pull for the upset in the "egg bowl" LOL Fichigan @ 6 Ohio State - Obvious.

Arkansas @ Mizzou is a big game if we want the winner of the SEC West to have any chance of losing the SEC CG. Idk If anyone wants to play Arkansas right now.

I disagree. He's a big time pro prospect, and we haven't exactly been a good run stopping team. Not saying he will completely change that, but I'm not sure how much worse our run defense could get?

Getting Spence back for the last 3/4 games would be HUGE. We'd be able to seal off the ends well on both sides, helping to stop Gordon in the B1G Championship game.

But how epic would it be in Mizzou somehow won? Lol I guess it wouldn't matter...that's why the committee has MSU sitting at 4 just in case of the worst case scenario.

As of right now, Mizzou controls its own destiny in the SEC East, not UGA. Mizzou has @Tennessee and vs. Arkansas. Chances are they win both of those and Bama gets an easy out into the playoff.

When idiots like Kirk Ferentz thought it was a good idea to stop recruiting talent and the state of Florida. Outside of the garbage, like Iowa, the B1G is back on the rise
