wifes in college and its a pain timing the car use. and if im working i have to go home on my lunch and pick her up. so if i get a cheap beater she can do what she wants and i dont have to worry about getting her.

GOOD NEWS!! the wife says i can get whatever, no trucks though, as long as its under 2000. anyone know of anything fitting this criteria- manual trans. nothing over 200k miles, no major work needed. body can be a little rough i dont care as long as it drives. and under 2 grand. Id like a camaro or transam.. and of course a 240.. pretty much a daily beater i can have some fun with.

prolly.. as my dad always tells me money burns a hole in my pocket.. and i get antsy and get the case of the wants and dont think things through..

its a nice looking car and has less than 100k on it. ill get a better look at it tomorrow or tuesday. hes supposed to call me tomorrow

A guy that works in heath has the caprice. he stops in at work sometimes. he said he was going to junk it and i offered him a grand. its white and does have some rust from what i saw, he stopped in at night.

so are there different classes racing at the same time?

so.. im looking at an 89 caprice classic with a 305 in it.. its $1000 which leaves me with more money to fix the altima. altima needs tune up, tires (all four), and both front lower control arms. which are 130-150 each. The car just needs to last me a couple years then the wife will be a RN... then ill have more money to play with

i can talk to the indian mound mall.. they had some vipers and vdubs out in the fall. They were ok with a drift day in the spare lot behind sears. but i wasnt able to find insurance. If i read right you have that part handled? let me know and ill ask.

how much does it cost for this? i hope to have a car the wife will let me play with..yes yes i know... wife yadda yadda...samich...yadda. but if shes happy then life is smoother

the 240 has eibach springs and tokico shocks on it.. but theyre old

i talked to the guy with the 240 and hes gonna try to hold it. he does have a couple people looking at it over the weekend though.

I was leaning more toward the integra to begin with.. but then saw the other two.

Its just gonna be a daily beater for me. And maybe some track down the road..idk. but mostly a dd

O.k. so I'm looking at getting a car when taxes get here, should be sometime next week. So I've been looking on CL for a while and have it narrowed down to three cars. I thought I would post the ad links here and see what the feedback is. Also if any of these cars belong to anyone on here I'm not trying to offend anyone, I'm just not that car savy and don't know what to watch out for other than rust buckets..
