  1. I took the Mustang over to PPC in Hilliard today for an appointment to check the Mustang out with Nick. I have to say PPC's reputation is well earned. I had an appointment at 1 but when I walked in there were at least 10 people walking around and the phone ringing off the hook.

I approached the counter and told them I was there and Nick immediately shook my hand and asked for the keys. Five minutes later he had me in the back and we spent at least 25 minutes talking about what he saw on the car and what I wanted to do with it.

Nick was the nicest guy and didn't rush me one bit while answering all my questions. They have definitely earned some business. I was very impressed.

The good news... Bone stock other than a full cat back Borla exhaust.

    Let the modding begin!

  2. Call Brady at Pick ups Plus Cars, they can do basically any work you need and follow it up with a tune. That will be the best bang for your buck

Thanks for the recommendation! This would all be easier and in my wheel house if it was an import. :) Hard to beat that V8 Coyote sound though.

  3. Forgot about gears; that's a big one. Even though they don't MAKE more power, they use what power you have more effectively on the bottom end. Really ups the seat-of-the-pants factor.

How difficult/expensive is it to have the gears changed? I can't do trans work. I've read a lot about the better gears and think that's high on the priority list.

    Thanks!

  4. I have nothing to add other than congrats on the new whip. I thought about you a couple days ago as I haven't seen you around much, and was wondering what you have been up to.

Hello my friend! I've been super busy finishing my MBA and working obnoxious hours. I still love imports at heart bug wanted to try something different. Mustang is a great car that I am enjoying.

I'd love to pick the supercharger kit up but that's a bit out of my price range at the moment. Not sure what a turbo kit goes for.

I am thinking brakes, intake, suspension, headers, tune but in pieces.

Any recommendations on a good local mustang shop?

    Thanks,

    Pavo

  5. So far we have the same exact car down to the color, mods, and options. Weird.

A part of me wants to spend thousands on suspension junk, but since I mainly drive it to work I think I'd get more kicks from bolt-on power upgrades for now (intake, intake manifold, headers, and a tune). After that, some wider wheels/tires will be needed followed by some stiffer struts and other bits.. then possibly some boost after I get bored of all that.

That is weird. I'd love to get the car up on the lift to see if it is axle back or cat back exhaust. Pretty sure it's cat back. I'd like to see if anything else was done too.

I'm going through the same predicament as it is my daily driver (less than six miles round trip). I'm hoping for cat back so I only have to add long tube headers, intake, manifold and a tune. But part of me wants better brakes and suspension.

Would the motor need built to throw on a turbo?

  6. Hey guys!

I've been away for a while driving a Camry thanks to a failed engagement. I just purchased an extremely low mile, 1 owner, 2013 Ford Mustang GT Premium that is in pristine condition. The previous owner did add a Borla exhaust (not sure which Borla) but it is otherwise stock.

I am an import guy by nature as many of you know but I thought I'd try a V8 muscle car with modern ammenities. The car is a blast to drive!

I have been digging around on the net trying to learn as much as I can about modding 2013 Mustangs and am not sure what to do next.

Any experts on here? What are the weak spots on the 2013 GT? Where would you start or what path would you take modding the car?

    Thanks,

    Pavo (Aaron Parsons)

  7. I tried Zettler and they said they couldn't do it. It's actually just a piece of square glass I had cut that needs drilled. It's not attached as part of the tank yet. I figured it would be easier to have drilled and replaced if needed before attaching it. The whole piece isn't tempered.

  8. Hey guys!

I am building a custom terrarium for my show dart frogs and need some glass drilled. All the glass places around town want a crazy amount of $ to do it. I'm looking to have three 5/8 inch holes drilled in a 1/4 inch thick piece of glass. I can bring the piece to you.

Anyone on here able to do this? I am willing to pay some $ but not $30 a hole like the glass places want.

    Thanks!

  9. Hey guys!

As some of you may know already I am not the most handy person. Combine that with my recent knee surgery and it equals me needing someone to install my plasma.

I live in an apartment and it is allowed. I have the mount already and could help lift the tv. I just have no idea how to find wall studs or safely drill holes in the drywall. Wires would remain outside the wall. Literally just an install and hang.

Anyone know any reasonably priced and reliable installers? Best buys price isn't bad but they want to do all this video hookup that I don't want or need.

    Ideas?

  10. Coughlin is crooked. Not at all surprised by reading this. A couple of years ago they had a 99 Eclipse GSX in their used car inventory for $6k. The ad stated it was "Never modified" with extensive service history and pristine condition. I thought.. ok doesn't hurt to go give it a look as I was looking for something cheap to modify and break. lol

So I called and made an offer of $4k cash. They laughed and said no that was too cheap for something this clean and well taken care of. I said ok then I'll stop by and if it is what they say it is I'll pay $5k for it cash on the spot.

I stopped by, without telling them who I was, and looked at this turd on wheels. Everything they said was misleading or an outright lie. The car was obviously previously modified. It had a 3 inch exhaust on it sitting there along with lowered suspension. The front bumper had obviously been cut where a front mount used to exist. The interior A-Pillar had drill holes from a triple gauge pod and there was a missing heater vent above the radio where other gauge kit existed. Popping the hood revealed an intake pipe with air filter (Dejon) and evidence of someone that had put it back to stock.

The biggest laugh I had was the fact that the hood was a black hood CF hood that literally had chunks out of it and a burn mark underneath where obviously some oil exploded up and got too hot (likely dipstick popping out). The pictures on the net (Autotrader) had obviously been doctored or they were not even of the car for sale. I believe doctored because they had the same wheels and it looked like their lot. They just doctored the photo of the hood to look stock.

The sales guy came out enthusiastically and said "she's fast! She's been modified". I said really??? Your internet ad claims it was never modified and the pictures don't look anything like this thing. He said "I'll have to check into that...idk." I asked him to start the car and it was missing like crazy and the belts squealed horribly.

I said, "I'll give you $1k cash for this right now... it's not worth anywhere close to what you are asking and frankly it's falsely advertised". He claimed their was no wiggle room and the original $6k price was fair. I said ok thanks and walked away literally laughing.

I know an Eclipse is no Vette but it does show how shady their business practices are. Most dealers are though so I'm not surprised by stories like this anymore.

  11. Watching now. You'd better not have lied to me.

Nope! Not lying at all! I loved that show.

P.S. In one of the season 2 episodes of Jericho there is a scene where the town is getting ready for a war with a neighboring town.

In that scene they use an acoustic version of Foo Fighters "Times Like These" that is AMAZING. It was never released as a single (that I could find) but there is a YouTube video of Dave Grohl singing it.

  12. 2 was boring, and 3 was predictable, but I'd say overall the show is much better overall in season 4, than it was in 2 and 3.

    This...

Also as someone else posted... Jericho is a great TV show. Lenny James was actually a main cast character on that show (Morgan from Walking Dead). It's a great conspiracy show. It got canceled after season one but was brought back by popular demand. It got canceled again after an abbreviated season 2 but they wrapped it up nicely with a good conspiracy plot.

  13. I'm betting the guy in the Caddy is Father Gabriel and actually saved Beth. Terminus is definitely a form of the hunters from the comics retooled in a way for tv. I loved the finale. Best episode of the season for sure. Nice to Rick back in bad a-- mode. The first few episodes in Oct should be great.

Did anyone notice the powdered milk? I wonder if that is a tease for Tyrese/Carol/Judith already being there (baby powdered milk). it might be nothing but it was odd that they made such a point of showing that shot.

  14. I am building a 36x18x36 Exo Terra for some of my high end dart frogs as a display tank. I have to replace the screen top on the Exo for humidity reasons with glass.

I will need a piece that is likely 36 inches by 14 inches (don't have exact measurements yet) and is 1/4 inch thick. The stuff at Lowe's/HD is too thin. I would need the glass edges sanded as well as I do not have the equipment/space in my apartment to do it.

I was wondering if anyone on here was a glazer? I'd prefer to give my business to a CR member than someone random. If not, I'd gladly take recommendations as well.

    Thanks!

  15. Guys,

I just read a spoiler on another forum with the episode synopsis and main key points. This source is proven reliable and is believed to actually be a show insider that leaks episode details. I usually dismiss these things but the spoilers have been right all season long and accurate to the detail.

That being said, if this spoiler release is correct and you even remotely like the show... watch this week. Some seriously brutal stuff is coming. I'm not saying what here but if you really want to know go over to spoilthedead.com and sign up and go into the spoiler section. It's right at the top.

I know what's coming and I can't wait until Sunday now. It's going to redeem the last few episodes in horrific and brutal way.
