  1. This. I just wish he had been thrown in general population for a while first.

Funny I was just joking with a co-worker today about this general idea. I said I wish that before he killed himself that they took him randomly and threw him out with the general population for 1/2 hour intervals.

Sort of like a prisoner Russian roullette type deal... Maybe he survives for a while, and for several rounds, but eventually someone would get him one way or the other. Hopefully the anxiety of being raped/murdered by other prisoners would give him a small taste of the hell he put those poor women through.

    Have fun in hell a-hole...

  2. Hoyt makes a nice bow! Good luck with the sale. Can try Craigslist, I'm sure with deer season around the corner a lot will be looking.

This thing is awesome. I loved it the few times I used it. I just got out of hunting to go back to school and am now going to grad school so I won't be going hunting for a few more years. No sense leaving this sit.

I do have it on Craigslist. Only a couple inquiries so far. I am thinking of dropping the price $100 to get a quick sale.

    CR price is now $500

You are now one of my heros. Partially for taking in a dog in need but mostly because you have a collectible Jason Voorhees figure in your bedroom.

In all seriousness thank you both for helping a lost dog.

  4. 2009 Hoyt Katera XL Cam & 1/2 Plus Bow - Like New Condition

    Details:

Bought new in 2009 to resumed my hunting career from Buckeye Outdoors. Well over $1,800 in bow, parts, and accessories.

I have taken less than 30 shots through this box since bought. I only hunted in the woods with it twice taking one shot at a deer (missed).

I stopped hunting to resume school in 2010. This bow has been sitting since (has been checked and waxed every six months)

    Specs:

Hoyt Katera XL - Right Handed Bow (Paid $1,100 New)

60-70lb adjustable draw weight (set at max presently)

27.5-30 inch adjustable draw length (around 29 presently)

    70% Cam & 1/2 Let off

    330 fps speed

Custom Peep Sight and String Loop

Incredibly quiet due to all the silencing pieces that come stock

Hoyt Fusion Stabilizer (Paid $100 New)

Hoyt Fusion Detachable Quiver (Paid $100 New)

Hoyt 3-pin Fiber Optic Adjustable Sight (set at 20, 30, and 40 yards presently) (Paid $200 New)

Hoyt Custom Bow Soft Case - (Paid $100 New) in great shape

Trophy Taker Full Contain Drop Away Arrow Rest (Paid $120 New)

6 Easton Axis 400 Custom Carbon Arrows with Custom Blazer Vanes - Only 2 arrows have ever been shot, one for practice/tuning and one at the deer. All are in new or like new condition. (Paid $200 for all arrow/arrow accessories New)

6 Arrows all have G5 Striker Broadheads

6 Arrows all have custom Easton Tracer Knocks that light up when shot

11 practice arrows all Easton carbon generic arrows. Fly almost identical to blazers at short distance. Good for base tuning.

This bow is ready to shoot but I would have it checked out and maybe tuned by a shop just to be safe because it hasn't been shot in so long. I am confident in it but would probably get a new string just to be safe. Most get custom strings any ways.

I have a $100 release that I will include if I can find it. I lost it in my garage somewhere.

    Thanks,

    Pavo

  5. Thanks Thorne! It's a great enclosure and the tile works great on keeping the nails filed down. It is OBO folks so make offer. I need cash right now pretty bad thanks to getting curbed by an idiot texting and driving in Dublin. I had to pay for a tire/wheel with money I didn't really have.

  6. I saw the car out at sawmill a couple weeks ago and I talked to the owner. The owner is a super nice guy, just seemed like he didn't know a lot about cars other than how to drive them. When he told me he had ctd build the car I kind of cringed a little, but he said he wanted to sell it and get back into a mustang.

Funny I was right behind him on Sawmill around the same time. It is a clean looking car but vomit on the body kit. I couldn't get caught up to him before I had to turn to get to Tuttle or I would've stopped and said hello as well.

  7. Well this turned into a shit show.

For the record-I don’t have, never have, and hopefully never will have a personal problem with David. He is abrasive, yes, but he is a straight up guy. My input was biased previous conversations with those involved, and observation of the lack of any Switzer involvement in Dave's event. Nothing more. I was told something up front, saw not one Switzer car there, local or otherwise, got the cold shoulder from Dave, and put 2 and 2 together. I can only work with what I see, and I have the right to my opinion. It’s shitty Tym and David still seem to have issues 10 or so years since he left BR.

David I am sure will build many potent GTR's in the future. At this point, it’s a bit of a saturated market tuner wise, so I do wish him the best of luck.

Yes it did. My bad for contributing to that. Not my original intent. I do love me a GTR though. Shame none were there. I remember the old shootout days back in the early 2000's fondly. Seems like they aren't nearly as much fun from what I hear from people.

  8. i don't know him from sally. the point is, if you run a business, you will be much more successful if you treat each customer like a v.i.p.. including the 20 year olds with 'dumb questions'. you never know who is going to be a great customer. who is going to be an excellent referral source (they might be dirt poor and bring their janky dsm in for a b.s. job). or who is going to look like a great customer but be a royal pain in the ass.

as a customer purchasing a product/service, i will 'size up' the shop with some emails/phone calls/simple jobs, before i go for a bigger job. if someone answered my phone call "hello, do you also have a stupid question?", they would never get my business, no matter how competent they were. i might just visit the shop to take a shit on someone's desk. part of maximizing your success is simply being nice to people-

I don't disagree with that point in the least. I know it can be frustrating dealing with people that ask or say dumb things all the time but as you point out, you own a business and should be personable and treat the customer well. We all have bad days but when your sole living is based off your business then every customer should be treated wonderfully. Heck it should just be common decency regardless of if you are the owner. It's called good work ethics.

I know my post sounded like I was defending the behavior. I definitely wasn't but see how it came off that way. It was more of my experiences with him and the company.

I could have gone to his place and gotten a little better prices on service work on my old Evo but I went/stayed with IPS because of how great they were to me. Not that their prices are bad as they are great and the CS is fantastic. Ask Brandon or Jeff... I spent pennies in there compared to most and they always treated me like a high roller. I respect and appreciate that kind of good business.

That and getting to look at all the awesome cars that were always sitting around there... ;)

  9. I have had misc. dealings with him over the years. I met him originally after Tym had just left 11-12 years ago (man I feel old). I just bought my old white 1g and went up to have timing belt job done. He was definitely abrasive at first and short and to the point. But I sat there and waited for probably 3 hours for Dan to get the job done and as I sat there he started talking with me more and more. He seemed to ease up as he realized I wasn't a normal punk kid (I was 20 at the time) and became decent to talk to and told some great stories. He even complimented me with going with an A/T DSM. I would see him off and on the next couple years and he was one of the first people to congratulate me for breaking the 11 second barrier with the A/T even though few of the parts I had were from his shop and I rarely talked to him. 11 second A/T DSM's were rare back then. I thiink he just has that no B/S get to the point attitude.

I dealt with his shop a little when I had my EVO 9 last year and dealt with Jarrod mostly. He was great to talk to. Definitely the one that should have been running the relations part of the business. Shame he left.

I think most just have to know how to take Buschur. He can definitely rub many (including me at first) the wrong way.

On the GTR front, I'd love to see some high powered ones up close. Love those cars. Maybe I'll have to save and get one in a few years. lol... now that I'm single again with no prospects in sight

  10. 48"wx24"dx18"h Custom cage made by Serpentdipity. Cage was used for bearded dragons for about a year but could be used for snakes or many types of lizards or reptiles.

It will not hold water obviously but does hold humidity decently well if you wanted to use it for more tropical species.

I paid over $300 new for this a couple years ago and it is in great shape. It is just taking up space at the moment in my garage.

    Features include (some custom):

Laminated (tile) floor and 3" up sides

Calked at seams and corners of vinyl tub

    2" inch vent

    Sliding plexiglass front

    Front trimmed out

    Painted black inside and out

Custom dual lights - Screw in type (one at each end)

    Bad:

Slight usage scratches on inside (visible in pics)

Top has some shelf liner residue from using top of cage for supplies (I will do my best to clean this off but it may not come off entirely)

Outside has some scratches from moving it.

Overall in pretty good shape and makes a good show enclosure for your herp. Perfect for beardies. I had 3 adults in there with plenty of room.

$175 OBO - Possible discount if picked up tonight or tomorrow night...

I will also throw in a new 10.0 spiral type UVB bulb in at no additional cost if full price is paid.

  11. Yikes. That is getting a bit wacky, with exactly ZERO games played.

Yeah I could maybe understand that hype for him if he puts up an amazing 3 to 4 games opening the season. The no freshman thing with the Heisman was blown up with Manzell but I still think they need to prove themselves at first and for several games before I'd even mention them. I hope sincerely though that he is that good!

  12. I usually only went there at lunch and their prices were pretty reasonable. $9 or so for a really good burger and fries and $2 for drink. Seemed on par with Rusty Bucket or chain restaurants. Now dinner or big meals were a different story. Pricey on those. Shame they are gone.

  13. I work around the Dublin hospital and was told that Mary Kelley's restaurant closed this week. I was told that the news said they owed money but the person couldn't tell me the details.

Does anyone know why they closed?

It's unfortunate because they had great food and seemed to be busy most of the time.
