im a much bigger fan of the e9x m3's because of the v8 and the DCT trans. they can look very good and there are power options out there. have him look on m3post under the sponsor section and there are some companies that do amazing work. one company that really catches me is IND. i would recomend the performance package if purch unless he is going to change out the rims and suspension. the smg in the e46 can be iffy and i just cant trust them. i know people have had them with no issues but overall just scary. if he is going to get one he should get the e93 m3 and do bmw individual color is possible to keep it different from other m3's you see on the street. i have not come across any subframe issues yet in the e9x but time will only tell. example: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=478246

I bought my VW about a month ago now and it is a very solid car. I'm very happy with the car and for being my first VW, has really impressed me.

they are not bad cars and the JCW's are pretty sweet. could get something used much better with the money though. With the 09's make sure the aux water pump recall has been done if it is a "s" or a JCW. I would never buy one but to each their own

well i have had some issues with photobucket haha. i may try and use flicker instead. it will be at cars and coffee soon as well. it is super clean. it has the clear bra on the front, mirrors, and rear bumper to protect from loading into the rear hatch. it has 35% tint. the car has 31k on it, all recalls performed, i got a folder of all the service and original sticker as well.

actually just bought the one i was looking at. went and drove the blue one at Byers and fell in love. Going to get it tomorrow in Perry, OH. Its an 08 with 31k, full clear bra and tint. No navi but I could care less. A 50 year old has owned it and all the service and recalls are up to date. The car is also a CPO but will need to transfer that. Pretty pumped on picking it up tomorrow. Also, going to be my first actual car, all my money.
