  1. If you're not running mid 9's you won't even be in the same ballpark as the "real" street cars. 1000+HP cars everywhere it seems, and that's around Dayton/Cinci. I'm sure Cbus/Cleaveland has just as many if not more.

We were just having that conversation the other day. Myself and a few others that have mid 700HP+ cars aren't competitive whatsoever on the street compared to others around. That's sad.

Times have changed that's for sure.

  2. This is the best advice in this entire thread so far.

Also - Certs can help you get in the door, but are becoming devalued very quickly. Because of people just taking them to get $$$$ without knowing the material.

I have interviewed CCIE level people, who couldn't do basic shit.....

CCIE is one of the hardest certs to get. I've yet to meet one that didn't impress me.

  3. Man, A+. That brings back some memories (1997). Is networking were you want to be? Automation/Virtualization/Security seem to be the big tickets right now. Of course having a strong network understanding is key to all of those.
  4. I know you spend a lot of time fabbing parts and things....you should use the leftovers to fab a tombstone, driving these golf cart cars at those speeds.

I'm sure after the last big wreck he has it on standby. :gabe:

  5. The price you are gonna pay for an LS with T56 anymore would almost kill any fun it would be. Most I've seen have been 1200-2500, if you are gonna spend that much may as well go TR6060 or T56 magnum since then you can at least beat the living hell out of it and not worry like ever.

I mean, my T56 has held 700+ horsepower all year. Why upgrade? :gabe:
