  1. vacuum line is run right below the throttle body, BOV is no more then 1 foot away from the TB on the piping
  2. Yes I know how the springs are measured, I have the unpainted 10 psi one and the pink 11 psi spring which is in my car now
  3. The 10 psi spring gave my car an idle surge, because it wouldn't stay shut
  4. The spring is correct. Like I said I have tried the 10psi one and that's too small. The 10psi+washer worked, but nit as good as the 11 psi spring. The 11psi spring+washer was a little too hard.
  5. It is pretty much an all or nothing type deal with my car also. I'm assuming I'm going to have to get a bigger turbo in order for it to work correcty?
  6. Spring is not an issue I know for a fact I have a 11 psi spring and bought a 10 psi spring because people said the spring was too hard. But the 10 psi spring was too soft and caused my bov to open at idle causing idle surge. I also tried putting a spacer on both springs. But the 11 psi spring seems to work best. I'm thinking it's the throttle body problem. Did you ever solve that problem Paul?
  7. Hey guys I recently installed my Tial Q BOV in my 02 Subaru WRX Mods -FMIC -STI Injectors -16G Turbo -Walboro 255 My front o2 sensor is bad also Now for the issue, my BOV is fluttering during partial throttle. It works awesome during low boost like the 0-5psi range and also when im at wide open throttle letting it loose. But when I am in the 5-15psi range and not gunning it it makes a flutter noise. Wondering if anyone has had this issue or seen it before, would greatly appreciate your help guys. Thanks.
  8. And yes that is a Gatorade bottle as my coolant relocated reservoir =)

    Hello

First off let me introduce myself my name is Kyle Armbruster and I live in Grove City, Ohio. I am 24 years old and am currently a 5th year senior at OSU. I am one of those DIY car guys I used to have a built RSX-S with 420whp I have have been into cars my whole life and I have learned most of what i know from my dad and friends from forums. Previous Project http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/pp346/sportsking80/My%20DC5/107.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/pp346/sportsking80/My%20DC5/096.jpg I currently have a 2002 Subaru WRX that I am currently modding and is my current project car. I bought it about 2 months ago, and it had already installed: Walboro 255 fuel pump, STI Injectors, and a Turbo XS down pipe, with a TurboXS UTEC piggyback ECU System and Tein coilovers. When I bought it http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/pp346/sportsking80/My%20DC5/111.jpg What I have done to it since then... I have added a FMIC with a Tial Q BOV, relocated the coolant, battery, and the windshield washier fluid, added oil temp/pressure gauges and a boost gauge. The FMIC was from CXRACING and a huge PITA I had to do A LOT of fabricating which took me about 4-5 hours by myself, but also saved me roughly $600. In the end I think it turned out very good and works very well. The original boost gauge was in bars and I did not like trying to read that. So I replaced it. Relocated Battery and Washer Fluid http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/pp346/sportsking80/My%20DC5/129.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/pp346/sportsking80/My%20DC5/127.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/pp346/sportsking80/My%20DC5/128.jpg Gauges http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/pp346/sportsking80/My%20DC5/131.jpg FMIC came in! http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/pp346/sportsking80/My%20DC5/130.jpg Installed http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/pp346/sportsking80/My%20DC5/134.jpg Engine Bay http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/pp346/sportsking80/My%20DC5/IMG_0338.jpg Going to be doing some wire clean up tomorrow all day to clean up the engine bay since the install. There are many future plans in store for this car that I will keep updating as I go. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I am looking forward to meeting lots of people on here. Thanks, and if you ever need any help or have any questions please feel free to ask anytime I can normally answer them. If you need someone to come out and help with a project, I am always down.
