  1. You buy me a rollback trailer, I'll let you use it to move toolboxes
  2. Excellent. Thanks, Brad. Do you know if he's in sales or some other department?
  3. I'll send him a PM. Thanks, Doc.
  4. I'm looking at a vehicle at CarMax. Does anyone work at any of the Ohio stores? Or, could anyone give me a recommendation whom to talk to? Thanks.
  5. There have been multiple attempts to correct it, the results came out as bad or worse than the first one. My friend settled because he was tired of dealing with them. Want to assume something else?
  6. Ah, so you know my firend's Miata ... Assume all you want.
  7. I wouldn't let Performance Auto Spa install clear bra on any of mine after seeing the results on a friend's prized Miata. Some of the lines looked like they were cut using scissors by a toddler.
  8. Welcome on board, Mike! Thank you for past services in the USAF.
  9. Another recommendation for Julius Poa. He has installed paint protection film on six of my cars. Julius also does paint correction (including glass coating) on the side. If you have spent a good chunk of money to have the bumper sprayed, please don't go with spray-on film.
  10. CR is basically the forum used for CC&C.
  11. JB Weld, helicoil, blue threadlock, and reduced tightening torque with lock washer?
  12. I would go with dampers next. Brakes would be next if there was fading, even so, pads would be first then cooling ducts; rotors are probably the last. Red Stuff is appropriate for track application, there is a possibility that operating temperature will never be reached for street application.
  13. As long as the wheels clear the brakes, use the smallest. Prices generally get cheaper with smaller wheel diameter. I suggest a slightly larger tire OD to boost ground clearance if there is space. 205/40/17 has a 23.6-23.7" OD while 205/55/16 has a 24.8-24.9" OD. You will have to measure if there is enough space for a tire that's over an inch taller. 205/50/16 is around 24.1" OD which is closer to but still taller than OEM size. Can the car use 15" wheels?
  14. The root problem maybe more than the belt coming off. A good belt doesn't come off out of nothing. Is your friend prepared for worse?
  15. Are you looking for OEM Mustang wheels or wheels that fit a Mustang? If the later, what size? What are the specs on the C5 Z06 wheels? OEM or reproductions?
  16. It's been for sale for a few months now. I guess TR has a lot of them. The tool software can be upgraded over internet and the list of compatible cars is more comprehensive on their site.
  17. I've been using Valvoline SynPower DOT 4 fluid. I believe there is no appreciable difference which fluid used as long as it meets the recommended specs.
  18. Yea, about that tough gear engagement; it's caused by the clutch disengaging partially. Now that you have one of the engines in the family coupled to a T-56, you might want to watch the clutch fluid. Due to the design of the slave cylinder, the fluid turns dark in a short time. Bleeding it is a PITA process; the easiest is to replace the fluid in the reservoir. Do this every few drives first then the interval can extend longer.
  19. Most money would come from parting it out. Taking it to a recycler is the easiest but least amount of money and headache.
