  1. In Worthington you need a permit to sell crap. Anytime the the "no soliciting" sign doesn't work we just ask to see their permit. That makes most go away. I am polite to the kids as I had to sell crap too and hated every minute of it.
  2. I have wanted a Colt Python for years. 357 mag with a 4 inch barrel and bluing so deep you could jump in and swim around in it. I have seen a few but in good condition they are normally at least 1,500.
  3. When I suggested more education I also put that there are lots of scholarships, grants etc especially for people who have life experience or are over 30. I suggest looking at all your options and see how far you can go for free. There are lots of ways to take classes without paying much if anything.

If you did have to take out student loans (which I'm not suggesting) they would only be due after your education is finished and they are generally very low interest rates.

In my opinion and experience, education does not make you smart. Education opens doors to better paying jobs. My brother in law is a doctor and can't change a tire. But he makes a shit load of money. You just have to make sure you are going for the right degree, certificate etc to make you marketable. How many folks have you heard of with phd's in art appreciation that work at McDonalds?

In all sincerity, I do wish you and your family the best. I just wanted to offer my two cents. Good luck.

  4. Have you looked into furthering your education? I'm not saying there is anything wrong with a high school education. My grandpa never finished high school and was the best man ive ever known.

But there are a lot of over 30 programs that offer scholorships, grants or financial aid. A lot of programs are online. Maybe by opening up your skill set you can open more doorways and get back closer to what you used to make. Just a thought. Good luck.

  5. Thanks. I originally thought about using is as a tow vehicle. Then I thought it would be cool to put a ls motor in it. Now after 3 years I just don't have the time or cash to do it justice. At least I've never lost it in a parking lot.
  6. Just seeing if anyone is interested in my old truck. It is a 1978 Chevy Suburban, 2wd trailer special model. It is a 3/4 ton truck and has the 454 and a 4barrel. The mileage is 83K and I am the second owner. My wife's grandfather bought this truck new and I bought it from the estate a few years ago. He was sick and it sat for several years. It runs and has good oil pressure but there is a bottom end noise when it first starts. Its definitely not perfect but its a good start for someone who wants a tow vehicle or just a cool old truck. There is one rust spot about 1 inch behind the passenger rear wheel. Otherwise the truck is super clean and has been in the garage its whole life. I'm hoping to get about $3,000 but would be interested in trades. Would really like a pick up but shoot me an offer. Thanks.

  7. This is a T-5 I pulled from a 90 Camaro many years ago to do a swap on my car. I ended up going with a T56 so I don't need these. The trans is from a V8 car and the numbers on the case confirm this. I also have the flywheel, shifter, cross member, pedals, and hydraulics. Would like around $450 for all but will separate. Will consider trading for guns.

  8. My buddies PF9 had to get sent back to Kel Tec. It would fire the first shot and not feed the next round. You had to rack the slide after each shot.

Tested with multiple magazines and multiple manufactures ammo in different grains.

I hear they do have a great warranty service

Ive been lucky and mine eats anything. The only thing it didn't like was some old ranger hp ammo with a wide cone. It jammed. But hornaday critical defense, various sjhp and hard ball all shoots fine.

  9. Split levels dont bother me that much, my day is filled with stairs. Although I would say split levels are not on my list of wants. However I probably wouldnt count a house out because of it if it had everything else I wanted.

I thought that too. We bought our house because it was in Worthington and had both an attached and detached garage. Now 6 years later I still love my garage but I hate the stairs. But that's me. Good luck with your search. The advice on here is great.

  10. If you find a neighborhood you are interested in the Franklin County Auditors site can be helpful. It will tell you the taxes and the County's estimated value of the properties. There is also a search feature that will show you what has sold recently. Just watch what type of sale it is so you don't compare market sales to auctions or sheriff sales. It's not as good as mls but its helpful.

Also, stay away from split levels. A few stairs don't seem bad at first but after a few years they suck.
