Talked to Eric today because I have a mini engine I need a.full rebuild on. He informed the shop is closed and he isn't doing engine work anymore. Sucks So who else do you trust to do head rebuild

Was really hard to see the yellow mini drive away last night. Chick bought it. Paid full all without even trying to talk me down.

As much as I want a Cayenne TT I just couldn't give up my 535xi wagon. So I ordered silicone inlets, bigger front mount and downpipes for it. Should put me in the high 400's if not low 500's and at that point the BMW is same horse power as cayenne and it will get its fun factor back. The trade off from wagon to cayenne wasn't great. I'm still going to get a cayenne but I'm going to get an S for 5-8k pay in cash and have it for winter

Yellow mini sold. Buyer picking it up tomorrow. Driving in from Lexington. Scored a S shortblock for $100 for the red car. Going to re ring it and new rod bearings. Also ordered smaller supercharger pulley new crank pulley, clutch and flywheel and all Apr bolts to reassemble. I might actually keep the red car because its so clean and I need a daily that's gets better gas mileage then 14 mpg lol

The red one is stupid clean. No rust. Minor bolster wear on driver seat. Otherwise interior looks brand new. This should be a quick flip

As an update. I test drove a turbo S. My god is it a beast. I have to have one now. The hunt is on now. Expanding my radius to try and find best deal. Locally the dealership I don't trust

They do all of my.headliners. I order material online and drop headliner cardboard and my material off and they take care of rest. Great people good work and good pricing. Can't ask for more then that

Its cheaper for me to pay for insurance on wife and my two girls and me skip insurance and take the penalty. Insurance is a fucking joke. Its so outrageous

Thanks for the insight. I am working on two different 05's currently. Both under 100k miles. Once the number make sense I'll do a PPI and hope to be in one by the weekend.

I don't really put a lot of miles on my cars. Last year I put 2000 miles on the wagon. Also I don't buy into newer car more reliable. Thirdly I don't want a higher car payment buying something newer.

I'm trying the work it out plan but its crystal clear I'm just delaying the inevitable

I've looked at 04/05's and 08's for updates styling. I've read several diy on the coolant pipes and frankly it isn't that bad of a job. The turbos just seem like to Mich car for the money and I'm bored with my wagon. I need to invest 5-8k in the wagon to make it fun again or I need to move on. I found a clean turbo cayenne that I put an offer on yesterday.

Anybody have any ownership experience with the Porsche cayenne? Thinking about trading in the 535xi wagon and getting a turbo or S. First or second gen is in the budget. I've read the turbos are pretty bullet proof. Maintence and working on cars isn't an issue for me as I can handle anything it needs.

The mini has a 4-1 header, straight pipe to a single e muffler in the back. Its LOUD. it has an annoying rasp as well. I want to put a 12-18" resonator in the mid pipe. So who is famiar with them. Is the Jones turbo tube any good?. There seems to be 2 styles and louvered resonator or a turbo tube with basically two smaller pipes inside. I need to pick one. Halp
