  1. Tim - You did an amazing job on the photo editing!!! Thank you!!!
  2. Cody - I am a huge fan of the 1996 but have never owned one. The LT4 models have a few engine upgrades and squeeze out a little more power than the standard LT1. The LT4 models generally commands a slightly higher price but features better flowing heads and intake, crane roller rockers, slightly larger cam and improved intake valves. The C4 that can be a hit / miss is the 1984. Some of them seem to run forever while others are plagued with problems with their crossfire fuel injection, digital dash, and of the C4 line they have the weakest transmission.
  3. Clay - Thanks! I have been a long time fan of the C4 and have owned a handful of them. The location of the engine is awesome because it is set way back compared to most muscle cars. I have a 1984 C4 and ripped out the crossfire setup in favor of a stout carbed 406 with spray. Fun!!! KillJoy - Thanks! The sky was pretty amazing tonight. Cody - They make great daily drivers and the price of most C4's other than the LT4 CE and Grand Sport models are very affordable. Keep the way off the optispark on the newer models and the cars are fairly maintenance free. The Dana 36 models are great until you bolt on a set of sticky tires...
  4. I am brand new to this forum and thought I would share a photo I took this evening while cruising in Newark. I took this photo with an iPhone 4S. http://www.knoxcountyohio.com/agent_files/Cool%20Cars/Sam%20Miller%20Ruby%20Corvette.jpg
  5. Sounds like a fun project. Is your primary goal with this engine to focus on building torque or horsepower?
  6. Rocky - Thanks! John - Thanks! That sure brings back memories. That was a fun time back when I was blasting the Camaro. Tim - Thanks! I heard this can be a fun place and a great mix of people, cars and bikes.
  7. Fast street legal race cars and hot rods have been a passion of mine for many years. I love the sleeper scene and I really appreciate a good sucker punch type car. I used to do a ton of street car racing during my younger years especially with a 1985 Corvette which ran 11's, it looked entirely stock and was a total surprise for that time because back then most people thought you couldn't make a computer controlled car fly. I have a fairly big garage with hot rod muscle car projects and projects but most people know me for my 1982 S-10. I drive it to the track, it has a pump gas powered 406 and runs 9's and lays down high 1.20 sixty foot times. I have a garage full of projects that I have in various stages...C4 Corvette with a 406 and nitrous, Malibu with a decent big block engine, nitrous and a Lenco CS1, a small tired Camaro Z and a fairly stock Plymouth Scamp with a 318. I took a short break from hot rodding during the economic downturn to refocus on my business and am excited to get my hot rod wheels turning again.
