....why I'd never buy from toy barn, besides their snobbery customer service
-
And going thru an auto wash?! Agghhh the paint!!!! You're fired.
-
Driving it a bit here and there to keep battery charged but basically just sitting in my garage. It is my wife's uncle's car. He lives in Cleveland but brought it down for me to help sell for him. I think current mileage has skyrocketed to 35300.
-
bump, still available
-
You also have a euro bumper without the annoying reflectors, good looking E92!

Thanks Erik! -Eric

Thanks, no idea what he wants for a HD but I'm guessing brand new (not my dad by the way, wife's uncle) but will run it by him. Good call on swede speed, Should move quick based on mileage/condition.

Selling for my wife's uncle 2006 Volvo S80 AWD with 2.5T (auto) Black (has a blue metallic flake) on Tan leather fully loaded (leather, heated seats, rear parking sensors, memory seats, sunroof) - does NOT have Navi Only 35k miles, used as an extra car hence the low miles and in like-new condition Brakes (pads+rotors) were recently done as was oil change. Tires are good but around/under 50%. He lives in Cleveland and has title in hand, I'm just helping him find a buyer but I have the car in Columbus. I drove it around today and it rides great, shifts smooth, AC blows ice cold. Paint is in great shape but there are some light scratches on trunk/hood (my guess is from boxes being set on the car while sitting in the garage). Some very shallow door dings as well. Bumpers are clean. Price: $11.5k, seller is fairly firm on that based on mileage. Reason for selling is he thinks a new Harley will be used a lot more than a spare Volvo sitting in his garage. Safelight has a $20 off discount right now, I believe the promo code is "20AR". My E36 is getting new glass to pass track day tech inspection on Friday by them.

Late to the party but used Chris and Quicken for a CA to Cbus trip as well and was very pleased. Don't use the U-Ship-It online quote tool unless you want to be harassed for months from shipping companies.

Thanks CR! Actually found a guy in G'view to weld it up last night. Richard from "Worthington Welding" - I recommend if you're in the area and need something done off hours.
-
Any shops that can do TIG welding on a Saturday in Columbus? I need a baffle welded into an oil pan tomorrow.

From internet research (and I've been looking at 1G Vipers pretty hard) they're easy to wrench on. Many early Vipers were totalled out because insurance companies didn't want to pay the large bill for a factory clamshell hood (read small collision) and ended up salvaging and repairing with aftermarket fiberglass and being resold. So original, no story ones will always hold a premium and large gap between salvage "widow makers". With a salvage title, you're really never going to come out ahead - best case is break even - and it may take a while to find the right buyer, but it opens the door to exotics and a fantastic track car with minimized financial risk. But do your due diligence, and hope for one with no frame issues and only new fiberglass. Then again.... aren't these cars supposed to be driven sideways? DO EEET!

I had no idea either until I started looking into them. We're dealing with the badge-stigma with friends and family right now. I'm cool with it, let them drive their new Camry's and Explorer's for the same money spent, I prefer to enjoy my driving experience!

Thanks Clay, I thought the search was going to take several months, it ended up only several days. And by the way, the exhaust in that video..... stock

Sorry for the suspense! Flying out on Friday to pick it up so no pics yet but looks just like this one: http://cvluxurycars.com/images/SNV32651_001.JPG Wife wanted blue really bad but this deal was too good to pass up. Details! 2009 GTS 6-speed 80k miles, nav, sunroof, heated seats, black leather/alcantara interior, 1-owner with all service done at same porsche dealership that sold it to him including 80k service done 300 miles before trade in on a new GTS (plugs, oil, filters, pads/rotors). Comes with 19" Cayenne wheels with winter tires (hello winter monster!) and 21" GTS wheels with brand new summer rubber. I think front bumper has been resprayed because there are 0 rock chips but no accidents or funny business. Owner was a car enthusiast and laminated his original window sticker, lol porsche guys (crap I'm one of them now).

Just put down a deposit on something :fuckyeah:

Matt, Thanks for the review and I had previously searched and found your account with the cooling pipes. I do all the maintenance on our cars so I'm not afraid of some basic repairs. What I don't want is a project car where I have to crack open the drivetrain, but replacing a CSB or DS is no problem. How fast do you go thru pads/rotors/tires? Is yours AT or MT? Is the valve body issue just on the TT or also the V8? I thought the Cayenne was written off by my wife but she's suddenly sending me FS links. RS4 is still lurking out there, mainly because it has been immaculately maintained and a badass sedan. I think the search could take months to find the right Cayenne. Thanks! -Eric

Jesse, SQ5 is intriguing but the F I'm going to spend fitty on a Q5. The earlier 3.2 and 2.0T are both rated at 4400# which puts me right at the limit with a sub 3000# car and an aluminum trailer (that I don't own either).

I've been fortunate enough to have 5+ years of dual-income, no kid, wedded bliss. And I feel my time is running out hence the tough choice to shake up the fleet for something more "practical". But if no kids.... coupe it up! You have the rest of your life to drive 4 doors. Ze Germans do a great job of maximizing cargo space with fold down seats, I renovated a house with my M3 as my only vehicle. I just keep a few beach towels in the trunk to protect the seats. Now 2 doors/2 seats is another matter, that is a much bigger commitment than a coupe with a backseat. At some point I'll want/need a 4-door car with kids and don't want to let the E92 M3 go. I would eventually inherit the RS4 and then she would get something newer several years down the road. Ultimate combo for me but doesn't solve the lack of a tow vehicle. Maybe towing isn't necessary as I currently drive my car to the track (sometimes up to 6 hours away) but it is something I'd like to have in my toolbelt. Especially as my skill is starting to warrant stickier tires and less interior pieces. And driving 12 hours round trip for a track weekend means something nicer than a cheap beater truck. Cayenne GTS lets me have tow vehicle right away, a car for her that I'll actually WANT to drive on road trips, and could inherit in a few years allowing her to get a newer A4/S4. Q5 is kind of a stop-gap but most budget conscious. Not a great tow vehicle and not super fun to drive. And then in a couple years I'd want to replace the Q5 with a bigger SUV and still not have a 4-door car for me. All this and trying to stay responsible with the budget.

Thanks for the input guys, I've researched on Rennlist and they seem fairly robust. The GTS seems like a great value and I had no idea they were so obtainable (<50k miles for $40-50k). 6MT's are pretty rare but check so many boxes and I have flexibility to wait for the right one. Andy, still happy with the 997TT? I actually went back and looked at your decision thread. If my wife had freedom to choose we'd be so far underwater because she would change her mind every 18 months hence the fact I hold veto power.

Looking for new car for Mrs. ec_E92 and we're all over the place. Actually she has her ideas and I veto most of them. We've found common ground on 08-10 Cayenne GTS 6MT's so I can tow track car and actually enjoy driving her rig on winter trips. Anyone have any input on these? Also in the mix are slightly more budget conscious options: Audi Q5 (3.2 or 2.0T, not bad but 4400# towing is on the low limit) Audi B7 RS4 (wild card as a friend is selling hers and I know full service history and I am fully aware of DI carbon buildup and DRC issues) Audi B8 S4 (more expensive than RS4 and I'd rather have RS4 - I think) Can you tell she likes Audi's?? If no SUV must be RWD/AWD and MT and E90 M3 would just be a ridiculous stable. Right now she's driving my E92 M3 and I think she's balking so she can keep driving it. While I rattle my bones in my E36 M3 commuting every day.
