  1. Soo is your c5z a m6 or auto? I remember you so heavenly defending autos in the porche/vette thread...As for my drivetrain.. The z51 gearing with the 3.90 gears.. Not idea for road/street racing roll racing... Zr1 trans and a 3.90 diff would be sweet and never actually thought about it. But with 3.90 gears you'll need a 28in tire... Only shitto's available with a 28in tire that will fit without major upgrades (lg drag splendle).. M/t makes a tire for a 19in rim that'll hit the 28in mark but not enough side wall like these 305/45/18's I have.. It's all about the side wall and tire height when you choose your gearing
  2. I would rather have cts-v... Comfort and back seats are nice... You can only haul 1 person in the vette... The cts-v would be a much better weekend car.. If you like to go clubbing an shit
  3. I'm still debating on selling my trans /diff for the zr1 trans diff.. It's an z51 rpm lvl 5 ( with 30 spline hardened main shaft) and the diff is a b.e.r stage 2 3.90 geared machined for 30 spline. Maybe 500miles total on the drive train.. A great set up for dig/drag racing but that's not my cup of tea..
  4. I'm starting C.A.D today.. Just curious if there's anyone on here that goes to that school. At the tour of the school there appeared to been an green dsm with a front mount.. Then the rest of the vehicles was your average parking lot.

  10. It's far more impressive to have a fast street car than a fast bike... Can't really say anyone can ride a bike to its potential.. Idk it's like saying I ran a 9 sec pass on my busa... Cool aren't they suppose to be able to do that anyways? Now you run a 9 sec pass in your street car... Wow wtf you have done!! I do agree mile events are so much more fun then boring ol 1/8mile 1/4mile.. Idk maybe it's because I'm a die hard manual dude... Then again I like watching the street cars battle it out over race cars.. Seeing top fuel drag cars battle it out .. its cool for maybe 2-3 pass and then it gets boring.

While the infantry,engineers,motor t, whom ever is out playing I.e.d roulette and that 30- 40% chance we find an I.e.d (improvise explosive device) these guys come out round the i.e.d's up and blow them up for us so we can continue doing our jobs.... That's Eod in a nut shell. Easier said then done... The picture looks like from that army Movie heartlocker.. A Hollywood version of Eod but gives you an idea.. A guy realing in like 6 155rounds.. 1 155 round could level a house or turn a humvi into a thousand different parts... These guys don't get hurt often.. It's either you get it done or pink mist
  12. Eod is the most respected job you can have in the military regardless of branch.. No one gives them shit.. I got mad props for you. We had more Eod casualties in 1 deployment than the rest of my marine regiment over the time I served on active duty.. It's not for the faint of heart and is the hardest job (mentally) the military has to offer.. A lot of the guys I knew became heavy alcoholics after a deployment. I wouldn't do it from my personal experiences
  13. There you go! There's big cash in the c6 market! There's only 4 TT kits for the c6... Aps 11k+, ttx 13k+, sts,8,900$+, and upp 5,800$+... As far as I know the fastest stock ls2 c6 in the 1/4 is running the upp... Looking at my upp kit you'll kno damn well it's not worth asking price.. He charges that because he can due to the competition and the guy is selling these kits like crazy. Another thing... Sheet metal intake manifolds for the ls platforms, headers for the c6.. Fuel system for the c6... I have a lot of this stuff designed and mapped out just don't have the fab materials/tools to make it happen.

  15. Soo what your telling me... Carlye racing is in the process of building the 1/4 race car for mile events? Be crazy to have a car run a 6.x 1/4.. Swap the gears/trans and run a 230+mile! Not trying to step on balls but lmr's c6 still has all the street accesories.. That impressed me.
  16. You'll be surprised where most of the parts from gm come from... Well for there performance line up such as the corvette.. I like gm because there cookie cutter engines and 90% of the mechinal jobs need to be done you can do with your average John Doe tool box.. Gm vehicles don't need special tools to work on them.. As you was saying about the warranty... Any new vehicle caught at the drag strip and said company finds out.. It's voided.. Ford just got smart and installed software to help them screw people over..   19. Marks car is built for 1/4... Would like to see it in the mile run. Would make huge news for carlye racing to go to lethal,lmr, and ugr's playground..there's supposed to be some big powered vettes out that way next year.(BamBams 1,500rwhp m6 street vette). If carlye decided to go I might have to make a road trip to see this...
  20. I would go with bigger injectors, some meth.. You can use your stock fuel rail to reach 600rwhp... Boost is mad addicting though.. It always sucks being limited to fuel supply..Fpr will be needed and a fuel return.. You can use your stock fuel lines for a return and just run a -8 main feedline... That's what I did for my set up. I have some fittings and about 30ft of -8 stainless line left over after my build.. I can hook you up
  21. You will need a decent fuel system/injectors... Useally the good thing about turbo kits there's only 3 limiting factors.. First your fuel system, then motor.. Lastly your turbo.. It won't take much boost to hit 600whp and I'm sure this kit will past that easy
