  1. Shitty about HPDE stuff.

Haggerty wants $2200/yr which is lolzy given the limitations.

I'm gonna price out agreed value on it through a few insurers listed here and just shop around. Didn't think covering something that gets driven less than 2,000 miles per year would be this expensive considering it sits in locked storage. I'd pay more for haggerty than my truck. Insanity.

Look up other companies like I suggested. I pay ~ $1200/yr on the supra with an agreed value at $75K with the no mileage restriction either. Be also cautious with the speciality of Hagerty and Grundy as they restrict you to be in route to a car show or other event for coverage. Driving to and from work or doing any non-car event related events deem to be not covered in the event of a loss.

  2. HPDE stuff is separate unless you go with lockton affinity I believe. No primary insurance will cover this. Look up on-track insurance for quote based on your degree of value coverage.

I have agreed value thru Grange on my supra. full coverage, towing , rental and No restrictions for usage unlike Haggerty and Grundy.

Call your local grange rep or I suggest McFall insurance in Kettering, OH. That's who I work with on all my insurance coverage.

  3. Plastic coolant pipes is the major concern. It's like 12 hours job to replace them, but otherwise they are very solid.

Isn't that same issue with the 911s in the same years?

  4. Got the car aligned at Auto Assets who is always great. Their head tech JJ used to work for Passen Motorsports if you remember them back in the day, and he has tons of FD experience. Ended up doing -2.3 degrees camber up front and could only keep caster to around 6.3-ish. I wanted it closer to 5.5-6, but caster is always a compromise. Front was barely toe-in like 1/16" total. Rear was -2.0 camber with zero toe.

    Do they align on Saturday?

I need redo my supra after finding the tie rod mount was bent on the driver's knuckle...

    What was the cost?

    DP

  5. My wife and I are debating to sell our house in Dublin in the next two years or less. We want to build but go towards Marysville/ Plain City. Unfortunately I think that area is next big thing for Prospective Dublin purchasers.

Paul has been able to cultivate a group focused around hypercars first, and everyone else who wants to pay-to-play second. It's working for him. One could draw a similar parallel to other social events around town...music/fashion shows (FMMF in Columbus) come to mind: not everyone in attendance plays an instrument or can even fit into the clothes that the models are wearing, but they will still pay money and show up just to be seen. THAT is the other Cars and Coffee group, and ultimately is the only issue I have with Milligan: he's so far away from "Cars and Coffee" that he should just own it and call it something else, like "Columbus Exotics" or something like that.

Kenny Brightman does a heck of a job with Dayton C&C - I've chatted with him and we'll be doing a cruise or two this season. I'd like to think we could've had something similar in Columbus if Paul didn't create such a fractile car community - he's definitely got his IG fanbois running around town trying to spot exotics and brand social media, and you're either with them or you're against them. It's all so silly.

    Clay,

Have you considered changing the frequency to fine tune and increase the attendance? (I.e. Every other week)

  7. This has been discussed before hence why Dayton's C&C is much more enticing to attended then any of the Columbus events. I applaud Clay for establishing the right mindset but the other group which pulls a certain type is about buying friends or checkbook stroking than being car enthusiasts.

In the end it's a gathering and not a business venture like Paul believes.
