  1. like they say... once you go black you never go back... and get yourself some of this fantastic stuff, is what I do with my Deep Black Passat and it looks glorious.
  2. Does any of you VWneers know the difference, if any, of the front seat design between a Golf TSI S and a GTI? Other than fabric/leather/pleather, particularly the lumbar support and backrest frame. Any difference? Why do I ask? Three months ago I got a mk7 golf tsi s for my wife to dd. Both front seats started making this strange popping noise, like an empty beer can when lightly pressed/depressed. Dealer changed the lumbar support mechanism on both seats but the popping is still there. Because of this, and other unexpected issues with the car, my wife wants to take it back to the dealer and get something else. She was thinking a GTI, but we want to make sure the seat design is different.
  3. what Cliff said... I own a FF so no need to rent body, just lenses.
  4. Took a couple hours today and adjusted the exhaust hangers. Had to heat them fuckers up to bend them out, they were pretty hard. Now no more "pipes on the ground" Whatcha think? http://i1341.photobucket.com/albums/o746/erotero/6442F941-6168-4998-8E16-E030C9D1B9F1_zps8iy84owi.jpg http://i1341.photobucket.com/albums/o746/erotero/6C17D135-48D7-46B4-B166-A2DE05EB01C8_zps9sh1sulb.jpg
  5. Me in every year since 1st ride. A few of those working as support to riders (would ride up and down the whole route with a radio to alert sag car of any need. Will be in this year as well.
  6. That was me otw to Glenross GC. I agree they hang about 1 inch too low. I will try to adjust things a bit but most likely will have to add a hanger in a couple places to make it look better. It needs a good wash too hahaha... yeah the trany makes me nuts, I usually just run it in tip-tron and it behaves a little better, but definitely would love to have a 6spd MT instead.
  7. I know nothing on pricing, I just give the Judo class and roll with the BJJ group afterwards. You can always call and ask for CJ or Luke Zachrich (owners), or just come down and check out a class no charge to try. you should try one of the Judo classes, 3x the workout (advanced class).
  8. ...I see a mk7 R in my future... one with the magic stick...
  9. Come down to Ronin Trining Center (http://www.ronintrainingcenter.com) in Grandview and have a taste of a real workout with the Judo/JiuJitsu/MMA crew.
  10. video clips are here... all with windows rolled up, sunroof closed, and a really shaky hand. first is cruising at 40 mph, and it is very quiet, no drone. 40 mph cruise idling idle wide open throttle wot I will get some better videos from an exterior pov this weekend and post later on.

  12. the checklist: ___ tires (bumps, flat spots, bubbles, etc) ___ brake components (rotors, pads, drums, etc) ___ wheel bearings ___ CV Joints (cracked boots, worn joints) ___ ball joints (control arms & rack) ___ control arm bushings ___ sway bar links ___ Upper strut mounts/bearings
  13. Yes, gaskets and stainless steel bolts were included. Versluis: These dp's were made by Devon (Lucifer) in the UK. You can find him at VWVortex forum by R32.DEVIANT. They are exact same as Miltek at half the cost. Many others have them on their R32s and had good experiences with fitment, so I thought I would try them. We'll see how it goes is weekend.
  14. Down pipes are in! Guess what I'll be doing this weekend... http://i1341.photobucket.com/albums/o746/erotero/FF38FB32-057D-42D8-95EF-6936BBECBBE9_zpsfnhx8nee.jpg
  15. You don't have to wait for your trip to rent. You can rent the lens for this coming weekend, saturday to monday is one day rate. Use it then decide if its what you want for the trip. MPEX may even use the rental fee towards the purchase.
  16. I do a lot of interior architecture and sports/action photography and have used almost every wide angle lens available in the market. IMHO, the best lens (value/performance) for a Nikon crop camera is the Tokina 11-16mm rivaling the 14-24mm Nikon at a fraction of the price. If your wide angle photos will be controlled, as in on a tripod with a lot of patience, then you can look at some of the manual focus lenses available like the Rokinon 14mm (in my bag right now) or the DX specific Rokinon 16mm. As for the 35mm f1.8, I had the Nikon f1.8 trio a few years back when I still had the D800E and they were all fantastic lenses in their own respect. But remember that a 35mm aperture on a crop sensor is more like a 52.5mm. to get a 24mm aperture like lens you need to get a 16mm aperture lens to compensate for the sensor crop. As others have mentioned, rent before yo buy. I cannot stress this enough. The guys and gals at MWPE are fantastic people to deal with and indeed very knowledgeable. Another thing you can do is take a look at your photos from the past year and compare the apertures at which they were taken. This way you will find what aperture you are using the most and be able to make a better purchasing decision.
  17. that's about right... I can dyno when all is done to get correct numbers. Any suggestion where?
  18. considering the stock has 4 cats, 2 resonators, and 3 mufflers, this system will probably save 30-40 lbs. Why 2 pipes? because that's whats in there from factory, no other reason. I think the twins Aaron and Jones have covered the rest of the ?s http://www.keffervwparts.com/schematics/9/9256292.gif
