408 on a budget

Well crap! We thought we had a better chance at pacemakers, but they shut down right before we got there. Other racers are saying track was too slick at the far end, it is what it is...... Now for the 2 hr ride home

Well that sucks, that will add another 30 min to the drive if I want to hit the store. Im already 2hrs away, guess I wont be visiting jegs any time soon.

So do they still have a day for testing? I looked at the schedule but dident see anything. I cant do the Thurs nite thing since the blazer isn't street legal.

Thanks guys, I did see that you guys were having a track day, but it was too late, I was in Fla at the GoodGuys show this past weekend. It was a really good show, but nothing as good as the one we went to a few years ago in Columbus. I have never been able to get to another show in Columbus and saw that they were having one in Kissimmee while I was going to be there.

Hello guys and gals, new guy here from the Marietta/Parkersburg area. My ride is an 84 s10 blazer set up for strictly drag racing, it has a 408 sbc with a v3 vortech supercharger, th400 trans and a ford 9". I have never ran it in the 1/4, but several times in the 1/8th. Its not fast, but its mine and paid for and keeps me smiling. Last year it ran a best of 6.9x's with serious traction issues, made some adjustments, bought some double adjustable shocks and turned up the boost, can't wait to get it to the track!
