408 on a budget

Nice pics! Im digging the turbo blazer lol.

I was there, only got to make 2 passes, sat and waited for EVER. The blazer never made a clean pass so i loaded up and headed home. I was rather dissapointed with this trip to the track, not because of the track or the people, but the way my junk is running. With work, i might get to go to a tnt or a fri nite race once a month IF its not raining. I just cant get this thing sorted out while building boost (when it does), and not being tagged and insured i cant make changes and go out and test to see if its right. As for the track, its always super busy when we go there, 4 passes was the most i have ever made in 1 day there. Now as for the food, OMG $4.50 for a hot dog, $5.25 for a hamburger (they were out of cheese) was a bit overkill! I guess thats why we tend to hit KVD more than any other, we went to Pacemakers a couple times last year and dident have any complaints.

This place is packed, been here since 11 and still haven't made a pass.

Anyone going to t&t tomorrow? I'm trying to get everything ready to head up, hope I'm not fighting these new radial slicks though

Yea to get it to sit that way, i will have to body drop it. I cant lower it anymore than it is and still get the suspension to work. The carb hat sits pretty high, it will either require a large cowl, or ill have to cut the hood and let it poke out.

I dig the honesty this forum has. If i could find a complete Extreme package i would snatch it up for it for sure.

I run straight water and water wetter in the blazer, its always stayed on the warm side. V8 s-trucks dont have a ton of room to begin with, then throw a supercharger in the mix and you could see why mine runs warm.

Think of it as Black Chrome. Take your clear and add some black to it till you get the desired shade.

"Tint" the lip as you did with the tail lights.

It needs an Extreme package on it.

I picked up this blazer from the Akron area to put my drivetrain in but my oldest son talked me into letting him keep it. For Christmas I bought him a set of 2010 SS wheels, ordered the necessary adapters and got them on. It's going to need lowered more in the back, it has too much rake to it now. Plans are a 5.3 swap, maybe a small turbo.

Are there any good reputable shops in the area that do roll cage installs/ builds? I just picked up a 2nd gen blazer that will need at least a cage thats certs to 8.50 or better.

If i dont go to KVD on Sat, ill be there, I wish i could do both sat and sun but the wife will be upset if i do. I was always told "Its better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission"! I suppose if i get put out early ill just say screw it and go to both anyways.
