  1. I don't know the first thing about organizing a car show/meet but I'm happy to help if needed. What about the mall by the casino? May not be the best location but it's certainly empty! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Noooooo!!!!! [emoji17] I haven't had a chance to join you guys because I've been spending my weekends in the garage trying to get my car running. Super sad to hear this. Unfortunately there will always be idiots ruining good things. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. This is a sweet build!!! I'm very jealous[emoji846] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I didn't know who he was but just watched the SNL episode last night... I really enjoyed the songs he performed! Was he in all those bands? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I have tried quite a few brands over the years and I've settled on Beverly International. Based on what I've researched, it's a reputable company that cares more about quality than marketing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Nice deal [emoji846] I looked at it just to fabricate a few car parts but my skills aren't there and cost isn't worth it based on how much I'd use it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Wow all of this is awesome! Have you looked at the Idea Foundry? It seems like it would be your playground [emoji846] https://ideafoundry.com/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Sweet!! I was able to get the bolt off using a socket extractor like the pictured one. It was surprising easy to get off when hammering on the socket. Thanks for all the help! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. The bolt is hollow so tapping is probably my best next option. Damn! Unfortunately I already bought a new bolt and received it [emoji17] Lol that's a good corny joke [emoji846] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. So tried some things last night with a friend's help... Could not get this thing off. I don't know why this bolt is so difficult. Anyone know of a place to rent a welder? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Hmm looks interesting. I was thinking something similar -- a co-worker suggested a splined extractor. Looks like virtually same concept Haven't thought of this, this could work. Wouldn't you want reverse threads so it's easier to get the bolt out by tightening it? I was considering cams anyways lol so you're probably right. I want to try to keep the gear in tact I wish I could do this, unfortunately I don't have a welder [emoji17] It sounds like an extractor or tapping another bolt in the hole is my best bet. I appreciate the help! [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Has anyone else had the unfortunate experience of screwing up the cam gear bolt like I did? Engine is a 2JZ-GTE VVTI and this is the intake gear. The allen bolt head was stripped as I was trying to loosen it with a breaker bar. See pictures below :'( I appreciate and help or advice with how to get this thing out now that the head is ruined. 13. Wow man that looks like so much fun!! I'm very jealous Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Subscribed!!! Excited to see the work you do on this! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. I love that E30 kit. I saw a E30 with a 2JZ swap I considered buying back when I was looking. That guy with the vert was/is selling his car. I thought about buying it but he was asking more than I was willing to pay. The 240 RB kit comes with a couple of wheel/tire size recommendations. After getting the fenders installed, I'll do some measuring to pick the right setup - it's not going to be hella negative camber like the VW guys like to do. It looks great on the right setup, but it's not my style. WHO-DEY! Thanks! One reason I went with the 240 is part availability... it's insane the choices for these cars. Might as well make it what I want it There are plenty of write ups and resources for the things I want to do. They don't cover every detail (I'm finding) but it gives me a chance to really learn about the car and the setup!
  16. Thanks! Yeah, no kidding!! I was a little naïve in the beginning thinking I could get everything accomplished quicker... I've since gained a more realistic understanding of the man hours needed lol. As much as I want it finished, it is a fun learning process Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Here's my progress so far: http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab263/epcioffi/IMG_2895.jpg http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab263/epcioffi/IMG_2902.jpg http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab263/epcioffi/IMG_2903.jpg http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab263/epcioffi/IMG_2904.jpg http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab263/epcioffi/IMG_2905.jpg http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab263/epcioffi/IMG_2856.jpg http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab263/epcioffi/9905C80E-A68C-4F98-A5DB-3474927BA843.jpg http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab263/epcioffi/0F1AAAD8-436F-4F0A-B85F-15B5F491C312.jpg http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab263/epcioffi/0EE99842-4D0C-4823-9AB0-1995EE8CA5A5.jpg Had a friend helping me through the process... http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab263/epcioffi/6BA7F924-AF05-4FD0-A913-9D4BA0C6ABB1.jpg Next up on the list is to get the RB kit and get the car painted. I'm considering a grey matte color with copper wheels.
  18. Hey everyone, thought it was about time to start a build page! So I have a 1993 240sx Convertible I bought late last year. I found this baby on Craigslist and drove all the way to Long Island to pick it up. Believe it or not, it has virtually no rust! The only rust I've found has been some surface rust. Here's what it looked like when I picked it up: http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab263/epcioffi/IMG_1025.jpg http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab263/epcioffi/IMG_2656.jpg http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab263/epcioffi/IMG_1023.jpg http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab263/epcioffi/IMG_1022.jpg http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab263/epcioffi/IMG_1027.jpg http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab263/epcioffi/IMG_2643.jpg This is my first project and I'm already learning a lot. It's certainly a lot more involved than I had anticipated. Here's what I plan on doing: 2JZ motor converted to single turbo CD009 (350z transmission) Rocket bunny body kit Suspension: considering air ride or coilovers 5 lug conversion with wide wheels I've found the RB kit is either love or hate, incase you don't know, this is what the RB kit looks like: http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab263/epcioffi/rocket%20bunny%202.jpeg http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab263/epcioffi/rocket%20bunny%201.jpeg Of course there are some other things that will need purchased... like I'm sure some misc suspension components (i.e. tie rods, sway bar, etc). I'm also likely to purchase bigger brakes which may include new brake lines.
  19. I'm not a head hunter and this may seem simple or stupid but there are 5 Honda plants and a R&D facility as well as many tier suppliers to Honda nearby. It sounds like he could name his own position at one of these places. I do know Adecco does a lot of hiring for Honda. Most of it is temp work but they also do perm to hire jobs. 20. Yeah I would love to do that! I wonder if there are other times throughout the year you can do an Acclimation program. Nice! I'll planning on going but really just to hang out and watch the events. I don't know if I'll have my car drivable by that point. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I was cruising the Mid Ohio site and came across this: http://www.carfestusa.com/ Has any one been to this previously or plan on going this year? It looks pretty fun, plus you have the opportunity to take your car or on the track! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Gorgeous wagon!! Welcome Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Beautiful work man! [emoji7] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Daaaammmmnnnnn that 350 sounds incredible[emoji7] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Undecided yet. I hate the crowded booth section but it's pretty fun to go watch various competitions.
