You know I'm game. Still disappointed the winter one fell through.

It's starting to get warm out so I figured I'd post this up again. This is the wife's bike. She has only ridden a handful of times since our son was born, and it just doesn't make sense to have this sitting in the garage. The only aftermarket parts on the bike are flush-mount front turn signals, rear spools, and battery tender plug. I have an under tail for it if the buyer wants it. With my wife riding so little, I never bothered putting it on. It has a brand new battery. The chain is freshly cleaned and lubed, and it's last oil change was around 20 miles ago. Correlation does not equal causation. What year? My guess is your truck had speed density, not MAF. You were probably running lean.

Spring is dangerous for motorcyclists. Be careful out there, and as Kenny always said, "ride like you're invisible".

High flow intake/air filter does exactly the opposite of increasing gas mileage. It allows more air flow, meaning you burn more fuel, thus creating more horsepower. Your MAF sensor (or whatever your truck has) detects the higher air flow and dumps more fuel to keep the A/F consistent. The only time a K&N might improve mileage is if your old filter was excessively dirty or for some other reason too restrictive.
