You need to have a custom ipsw. Guess what, I made a great one that works with 3GS only. Has Cydia installed. It's a butter smooth install. 3.1 runs good. 3.1 pissed a lot of people off.

I disagree. The screen was the issue before. That's been ironed out. No more play in the screen..that wobble before pressing. The software v5 is far better. You can blip scroll emails and text now. No more up, up up up up to scroll. One good swoop and it rolls, like iPhone. It's faster. The best one out is the Tour, if you like the trackball. If you want the big screen and touch, the Storm is where it's at.

the 4 buttons are gone. Red, green, BB button. They are now touch buttons. Just light on screen. The screen does not press when the phone is off. Somehow locks in place. Feels about the same size. Better OS. More like iphone now.

If I had to choose. I'd say the Lotus or the Pearl. I had Curve and pearl. Curve is too big and has nothing more than Pearl except full keyboard. You get used to the mini keypad really fast. It's a clever design.

As of a few hours ago...I am running 3.1 that's jailbroken. Whew!! I thought I bricked it. The Internet is better than sliced bread. Edit: Anyone with a 3GS that's jailbroke on 3.0 or 3.01, I have a custom 3.1 ipsw that will allow you to have 3.1 running and still have jailbreak glory.

Opposite. Aint a quad around that can get through those Wayne trails as fast as I do on my bike. On and off trail...quad can't compete. Plus you take far less beating while riding. Quad guys get the shit kicked out of them bouncing all over the place. I get none of that on my bike.
