  1. Yeah it looks black when it's cloudy, then grey in the sun.
  2. Oh man that must suck being so close and can't go!
  3. Just about every storm this season has tracked further south than the long range models have shown.
  4. Seriously? 30+ inches in AnnArbor and Detroit?
  5. On Speed Channel now. Looks fun. Who's watching?
  6. Was this a text from you to him?
  7. One thing for sure is, I do what I like, not what others like. While I respect others opinions and I am grateful for them, I don't let others make my decisions for me. I do really like my BBS wheels. I was a little nervous 2 days before I got the thing, I clicked on a Subaru link on their website that compared features of the models. I panicked when I saw a marking on the limited that said no BBS wheels were available. Found out a little later the document on Subaru's website was wrong. They are standard equipment. Whew....
  8. I actually like those pieces, clearly I am in the minority, but I'm not really going for a "Murdered Out" look. I think the wheels give that impression. Certainly not my intent as I have already explained. And I will proclaim it again, I LIKE THE WING, call me whatever, I think the car looks weird without it.
  9. I think he was a Terminator.
  10. Ha Ha most people say they love the wheels and I think I spent the least about of time purchasing them, I chose my tire, and spent 10 seconds looking for the cheapest black 18" wheel I could get that would fit. I simply wanted black so I didn't have to clean them in the winter. I will admit I really like the wheels too now that I see them on the car, however I also liked the BBS that came with the car and am looking forward to when those go on the car in April/May.
  11. Not this one, the primer on my last car was black, so on this color it will not be as noticeable as the White paint of the last one. It's cheaper for me to remove the bumper and go get it painted every few years. The clear bras were great but they all yellow and they all collect dirt around the edges so while yeah you don't get too many rock chips, they do detract from the looks on a vehicle. One of the reasons I went away from white on a Subaru was because of this. The last one that was put on by the body shop was $750. I had 2 accidents where it was replaced. All of them yellowed and collected dirt on the edges. So in six years I had almost $2k in the product, I think with the connections of this board I could get the bumper painted for way less in 3 years if I choose to do so. On the rear fender flares, there are factory installed clear bras on this car.
  12. It's a DD, not a race car. No thanks.
  13. Again I could have paid $219 for the standard tint, however I chose to buy the best grade of tint they had to put on the car. This is why the price was higher. The "50%" tint on the front windows of my car reject 49% of solar energy, however the standard tint only rejects 26% of solar energy. All the while staying legal with 54% of light transmittance on the better stuff (even with the windows being tinted from the factory, I fall in the legal range of 50% plus or minus 3 percent) I get twice as much solar rejection with a legal tint. The standard tint has light transmittance of 59% even though called "50%". SO the opinion of everyone who says well your windows are tinted from the factory even with 50% you are illegal, is untrue. The company rounds the number. This hopefully will be keeping my seats cooler in the summer and my leather healthier. It's no different in buying any product with specs and you want a little more performance than the standard equipment. I have never bought this tint before and I wanted to try it out. We will see in the summer if it works. The 35% performs even better on the other windows. I simply chose to read about tint and become an informed buyer, and made a decision, not purely based on looks and price.
  14. I'm gong to leave the Spec C suspension alone, it is what makes this car cool. First time Japan has given us the Spec C. Also no ride height adjustment, I will not be able to get up my driveway. I'm going to be patient now and not do anything else for a while. I don't want to make any snap decisions on appearance. Right now I am focused on programing and learning the radio, and other features to work with my iPhone. Oh and break in. Almost 300 miles, 700 to go. I do feel a little unfinished without my CR sticker.
  15. Man the sound of that V10 is so fucking nice. BTW this is a repost.
  16. Hey noob, he bought an EVO, you are pretty late to the party.
  17. Because the BBS Summer wheels are better that came with the car. These are my snow tires, Blizzack LM-60.
  18. Ok here are the first two as the appearance shouldn't change much at all now except for Summer with different wheels. Tint is fixed now, looks correct now. http://www.columbusdiscgolf.com/IMAGES/DSC_2185.jpg http://www.columbusdiscgolf.com/IMAGES/DSC_2186.jpg
  19. heading to accuweather.com to start obsessing.
  20. I would, my Fiero had 20% with 50% on the windshield, shit was dark and all the dash lights showed on the windshield at night off the back window. No they are cheap Mortegi (SP) wheels from tire rack $149 a piece. 18" they come in black, don't know if it's powder coat or paint. I just wanted black wheels for winter so I don't have to clean them. Thank You.
  21. I had that on a 88 Fiero GT, I will never do it again, it creates a bad glare.
