I read that graphic as not really borrowing, the Fed bought the car loans from Ford CREDIT. Just like banks buy Mortgages. I would think a used G8 GT would fit you fine. I know you said new, but you can get more car if you look at slightly used. Like 30K miles or less. I really don't think 30k miles is a big deal.
