i dont think many cops would be "certified" to be able to run a bike like that. I know of a couple CPD guys that I would trust handing the keys of that to though.

they are pretty shitty over there. my sis bought a new aprilia scooter, she had it for 5 minutes and it started leaking oil. they've had it for a couple months now. and you can never get ahold of them.

i gotcha, just wanna say that the carbed sv's are just as good. and the great thing with these bikes is that you tune 'em once on the dyno and that's it. i'm just lookin at a price point. the carbed bikes are gonna be cheaper and just as good. especially if you find a carbed superbike

our race there in august? i think has pretty much been cancelled. I believe the demolition is starting this fall. supposedly the track will be up and running next summer. so they'd have to be starting very soon.

can i ask why you don't want one of the carbed bikes? I haven't ridden one, but i've raced against plenty of guys with the carbed bikes. there were no wet conditions during qualifying. the factories/satellite teams boycotted the heat race program that was being used for qualifying.

i've seen 195 on my gsxr600 at mid-o, prolly more like 165. this was with the stock motor. new motor will prolly add another 5-10mph. this was top speed, she would hold at about 500rpm from redline all through 6th.

if you want a cheap track bike. get an SV650. that's what i started on. best bike to learn on. it'll teach you how to ride properly without having soo much power on hand to get yourself in trouble. sv's are basically bullet proof and you can get on the cheap. plus they are very capable bikes. my buddy was running 1.36's at mid-ohio on his SV650 superstock bike, that's right at the AMA supersport bump time. the bike will teach you how to ride properly without being able to hide your inabilities with horsepower. if you wanna turn quick laps on the SV it's all about cornerspeed, and that is how you go fast in roadracing.

if someone is really looking into racing for next year. i will have an AMA supersport caliber 600 for sale in a few months... but it'll cost ya

and if you think IP is expensive, then just order from them online! I've gone in and tried stuff on, and then ordered it online. their online prices are a bit cheaper. and anything over a certain price is free shipping i believe.

i have a feeling that nelson will be a VERY nice complex when all is said and done. the new kentucky track is being done the same way. it'll be nice to have putnam,beaver,mid-o, new nelson,and bluegrass, all within 4 hours or so. all will be very nice venues

they dont have yamaha at moc. there can only be 1 yamaha dealer within a certain distance. which is why the pony had to buy out YOC. the big thing about bein a yammy dealer is all the accessories that come with it. yamalube and whatnot as well
