i'm 6'2" and basically live on my suzuki 600's. ergos are great. i just have trouble getting fully tucked. i usually end up sitting on the tail section so i can get my elbows in.

well it happened. got the news from my ct scan this week. i broke off part of my heel bone on the joint side. doc's goin in tuesday and screwin it back together. another 6-8 weeks recover followed by rehab... i MITE get back on a bike sometime this year...

just cuz it's at a bar doesnt mean you have to drink. and i know some people dont even ride to bike nights. i go just to hang out with my fellow riders.

you prolly wont need 6th at nelson. on the 600 i just click it for a second and then downshift to 5th. shitll bog outta the kink

yea the rest is the same. on my 600 i hit terminal velocity on that straight. speedo reads near 200, but that's inaccurate with my gearing. i'm gonna guess 160ish on the stock motor. maybe 170 with the new motor

yea that's for sure. it was wild on the 600 last year. i'd kiss the limiter in 4th going into the chicane and just downshift and let the slipper do it's thing, then grab another flipping back into the keyhole. lot of time there

who knows, the chicane is the bomb though. seperates the men from the boys so to speak. you can carry a TON of speed into it and you have to scrub a lot of it on the front tire. super fun

lmao!! i just had a CT scan on monday and have a meeting with the doc on friday for new x-rays and look at the scan. i'm hopin to be back by august. my dad and i are gonna be workin on the bike friday morning before my dr. appt. gonna fit up the bodywork before paint, and hook up the electronics.

i'd be careful with grabbin a gear in the kink on the 1k. i know my 600 spins a lil through there and likes to wiggle around, so the 1k has got to do the same.

this is my "new" style of riding. compared to my elbow dragging, this allows for much less work getting the bike to transition and makes it easier on me. now on an exit to a straight or a long corner i still get my upper body off farther to get the power down.

i click 6th before i dip in for the kink, and it goes to redline on the side of the tire and holds at like 500 under in 6th all the way. we'll see how it works with the engine/gearing changes

dont look at any magazine but Roadracingworld. Their tests are the truest ones of all the magazines. The new honda is the sweetest STOCK 1000 to date. Just look at how well Matt Lynn and Jake Holden are doing with these bikes in the AMA superstock and superbike races. and for all the twisty bench racing. come up to mid-ohio for a trackday and see who of ya'll is actually better... that zx14 would be nice to see out there!
