  1. No, it's not. No where near it. Nice watch, decent price. But, no, it's not a $1500 anything.
  2. You should have told me. I have a buy 1, get the 2nd dinner half off coupon. I do love me some Lucky House; was there yesterday.
  3. I have promised myself to help any local family that these assholes target in any way I monetarily or physically am able to.

  5. I just completed my first 100' long rear-kicked-out-slide-of-the-year 20 minutes ago, followed by a kickass 720. Woohoo. Carry on.
  6. Depending on who you listen to, the spread is only 1 to 3 either way. Too close for me to throw money at.
  7. OP - looks good. I have this weird fetish of photographing most of the "new" meals I cook. It's a great feeling making your own restaurant-grade mush, ain't it?
  8. Bulova 96G09. Lame name. http://www.itstimeforwatches.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/800x600/8a02aedcaf38ad3a98187ab0a1dede95/9/6/96g09.jpg

  10. Back then, I was driving a 16mpg truck. Maybe your Sentra buyer was driving a 13mpg SUV that needed replaced anyways? I'm thinking hard about organizing a carpool for work. I used to think the idea was retarded, but there are several folks near me, and cutting work mileage immediately by 1/2 or 2/3 is very appealing. Oh, and green too.
  11. When gas hit 3.33 a couple years ago for the first time, I took a half PTO day and went and bought a 98 Civic that day. I managed around 32mpg. Not bad, but was it worth the $2900? This chart shows yearly savings - assuming my 17,500 miles a year - for various mpg vehicles using gas prices from 2.75 - 4.05. http://i628.photobucket.com/albums/uu8/nurkvinnyz06/MPG.jpg My current GTP is getting about 25mpg. If I moved up to a car that gets 40mpg, I would only save $800 at current prices. At $4.05, I would save just over a thousand bucks per year. The fun factor of the GTP, combined with the taxes and fees involved in buying another car = keep current car in my situation. Thought some of you might get some use out of the chart.
  12. This car is no longer listed for sale.

  14. I have never DD'ed a diesel-anything before. I know enough to be dangerous. Do the diesels - in general - get the real-life mpg advantage that you always hear about? Can I really see 45+ mpg out of smaller turbo, or even non-turbo diesel cars? Are they a PITA in the winter? Are they a pain to maintain? Feel free to add any personal experience / likes / dislikes. Thanks. PS, looking at DD cars, not trucks, as I am happy with the current Ram (for now)
  15. A lot of wood. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/c/c7/Cord_of_wood.jpg/800px-Cord_of_wood.jpg
  16. I have cut a lot of sodium over the past couple of months to try and get mine down.
  17. This should be shown in every HS.
  18. I think this is what will pop into most people's head.
  19. I 3rd, or 4th, or whatever this. Been countless times in warm weather and twice in January. I have a hard time telling people why the place is so great, but I keep going back. We've been staying at various hot tub cabins off the main road in Gatlinburg, hang a left at the smaller split in the road on the main drag. Usually 8 people splitting a 4 br cabin makes it dirt cheap, plus there's instant drinking buddies. Tiny, 1br places are cheap now too. We also went to a cabin at Burr Oak State Park a few years ago. Not bad, but not much to do in the Winter.
