More details? Pics of swap? You can have O2 sensors welded in, but the 4.3 should have had them. Maybe the 4.3 only had 1? If it idles well, has good throttle response, and runs out well, I wouldn't care much about the light.

As far as the bikes being identical... 900 Custom is a nice, smaller, cheaper cruiser, and it shares some lines with the Mean Streaks, but that's about where the similarities end. I recommend a Mean Streak 1500. A lot. Liquid cooled, shaft driven. Sport bike breaks. Oh, and can be made quick fairly easily.
