Well the "puller" we made to get the LH case off was a cheap peice of weak metal (i had it laying around) and it started to bend as soon as I put the required force on it. The bottom of the case separated 1/8 in but the top would not budge. I didnt want to risk forcing anything so we are going to my buddy's machine shop to get a stronger peice of 1/4in steel and make a new puller. I am hoping it will be off tonight. Once it is off, I will either have great news, or the motor is coming out

Sounds like a good place.... It takes just under 3 hours in a truck with a bike in the bed. Not too bad. Back roads would take longer but would be more fun, and we wouldnt wear out the center of the tire the whole time

Hahah Thats funny. He does ALL bikes. Im not sure the next time he will be back as of now. I talked with him yesterdy to see how things were going with the dealership about to open. Its just really busy right now for him, for obvious reasons. He may not be back for a few weeks. 90% of his time right now is getting everything Perfect for opening day. He will be able to relax after that I hope. I will update this when I figure out when he is coming back. ....I was also thinking about taking a group ride out to Indy to see the Shop once it is open if people are interested. We can take back roads and stay the night down there for one night or something. It would be a good time, and would give everyone a chance to meet Matt.

Yes he is. Matt is a GREAT guy. I actually havent ever talked to someone that disliked him or said anything negative about him -Honest to God truth- Nice guy and very very intelligent when it comes to bikes. His Dad is cool as hell too. He is one of the nicest guys I have ever met. I guess he gets it from his Dad.

Might not be riding my bike for this. My shifter is more fucked up then just being bent.... So i may be riding a 900 SS... I wont be as comfortable on it, but will still be fun

Well ends up that the crash 6/4/07 is worse than I realized. I knew I bent the shifter and that the bike was down shifting funny, which I thought was just cuz of the geometry of the bent shifter. A fellow member of the board and Desmohio was very generous and donated me a new shifter THANKS BOWHUNT... The shifter started acting up alot on the ride Sat. right before the lunch at the park. Thats why I pulled off right when we got off 315. My bike got stuck in 4th. I ending up going over to Whity's and getting it out of gear and adjusting the linkage a little. It seemed ok until I left the park after lunch.... Anyway to shorten things up. I may be pulling the motor out of bike - worse case scenerio. I am going to pull the side cover first, cuz aparently the shifter can get knocked out of alignment and can be reset. Hopefully thats all it is. If that doesnt work, then I have a bent shift fork of shift shaft. Sad story

I will need a new one too... What happen to the old one you ask? ..... It is still on the other half of my broken windscreen in the gravel pit of mid-OH. I need a caucasian one please!!
