Update: it runs, it drives!
I'm getting rid of the Jimmy. It's a 1987 GMC S-15 Jimmy. It's a grey 2 door.
It's got 213,xxx miles on it. 2.8 Liter v-6 TBI, auto. It will need a little work, I suspect it's ignition related, fuel injectors appear to have a decent enough pattern. But it does start, and does drive, but (as of the last time I had it on the freeway) it sputtered a lot at free way speeds.
The good:
-NEW Firestone Steeltex A/T tires. MAYBE 8000 miles on tires.
-NEW Plugs/wires/cap/rotor (cap/rotor not installed yet)
-NEW ball joints (upper and lower)
-NEW front CV shafts (both)
-NEW front brake pads
-NEW air filter
-NEW battery
-Fresh oil change. (maybe 60 miles ago)
-All glass is good
-New shock for tailgate glass!
-Aiwa CD player with all new speakers
-Wired for subs and amp
-Power windows
The bad:
-The transfer case is leaking, and the 4wd (didnt try 4wd low) doesnt appear to be working at the moment.
-doesn't start
-turn signals don't work right (headlight/taillights/brakelights ok)
-It's pretty rusty
-At some point it took a light hit to the passenger side
-brakes aren't that great
-Driverside window is off track or something. It rolls up and down, but you need to guide it by hand. Passenger side works properly.
-Front bumper is a bit rough
-Has a vacume leak in the climate controls. Fan speed works, temp control works, stuck on defrost/feet.
-AC doesn't work. It wasn't a priority for me, so I never fussed with it.
If I think of anything else, I'll list it. More pics will be coming soon.
