  1. No I'm not. This is one of the things that makes America great. They have a plant that has a large number of Somali workers that are also a majority Muslim. They had a process in place that allowed that plant to switch holidays in order to accommodate their holiday during which they were already largely absent. The holiday they switched it with was one that it seems a lot of workers worked anyway. It ends up a win-win.
  2. I'm going to make it point to buy only Tyson's chicken. Good for them.

  4. Part of the problem is that through vaccines, anti-bacterials, medicines and constant cleaning humans aren't as capable of fighting off a lot of forms of diseases and what not as we should. A lot of the things we take for granted are actually making humans in general weaker. As this becomes part of our daily lives our bodies adjust as if they no longer need to have the ability to handle those sorts of things on their own. Even doing something such as using deodorant will cause your body to stop behaving as it should especially if you use it regularly starting when your younger.
  5. That was the first thing I noticed about it. Really took a bit to get used to coming off the 600RR. At times on some of the mountain roads it was unsettling expecting power to be there when you need it and not having it. I had to get used to keeping it around 10-11k to get anything out of it quickly.
  6. Yeah that's odd. I rode my brother's R6 a while back up in the mountains in Idaho and it was a great bike.
  7. Yes, but grappling with a hot chick during an actual class or training isn't as fun as it may sound.
  8. Always aware of riders when I'm in the cage. I've noticed the wife and even the kids are more aware of other bikes on the road too. If I'm in the fast lane passing other cars and I see a bike coming up behind me I'll speed up to pass a bit quicker and get over so they can get by quickly. I always try to make room or let riders pass if I can. I'm not sure how to word this (need more coffee) so I'm sure this will come out wrong, but I'm not going to go out of my way and make a bad rider safer. If there's room and they are still sitting in or passing through your blind spot that's on them. I think MSF should be mandatory for all riders with having to retake it every 5 years or so. I also think cagers should have to take the classroom portion of the MSF in order to get their drivers license. ...and older people should have to take the drivers test every 5 years starting at 60. ...everyone should have to retake every 7 years from 16. ...and I'm going to get coffee...
  9. I might be in for this one as well.

    Accident 675

yeah I'm betting they were able to get the bike out before news crews got on the scene. at least that's a fairly good sign the rider wasn't at least seriously injured.

Hope so. I'm sure it will be all over the news tonight here.

    Accident 675

The wife said that from her vantage point it looked like it was wedged between the two when she was there. Maybe the bike just got lucky.

    Accident 675

Wife just called and said there's an accident on 675 South near the Wilmington exit. She said it looked like 2 trucks and a motorcycle, but it was hard to see from where they were turning people around.
  14. I wish I could think of a good way to explain it that would make it easier to understand. One thing I can say is the attacker (if they truly are the attacker) doesn't become the victim. The attacker, hopefully, becomes less of a threat or a zero threat. I'll think about it though, maybe I can come up with something.
  15. Sorry man, you started to add to the discussion with the first paragraph and blew it with your dumb ass second paragraph.
  16. Yes, but those things I listed are also choices to participate in activities that are also potentially dangerous. If you'll put your life/health at unnecessary risk for fun, but not to help another human being to possibly save a life, you're a really poor example of a person in my book. There's no way I can jump out of an aircraft at 13,500 feet and then turn around and not help someone who could die because it's dangerous and I could get seriously hurt.
  17. piano is on the list for them to learn. Right now it's about getting them interested while it's still fun for them. I took lessons for about 3 years when I was younger and wish I had stuck with it. I cant play a single thing anymore although I can still read some music.
  18. Didn't know it was Ti pipe. Also didn't think he was doing all the way through color change(s) (voltages). A lot of manufacturers, I've read anyway, will color metals artificially after they have achieved a determined oxide thickness instead since colors like the dark blues and violets can be sensitive to fingerprints.
