  1. Actually according to the MSF site the national average is only $100. So for H-D to charge $300 for a course where there state helps kick in so it's only $25 is even more ridiculous. Especially when you consider places like the Troy Honda course exist.
  2. meh, one word...mataleon. Give a guy with even only 6 months of decent no-gi experience and they'd have most college wrestlers crying like a baby. I don't know of any real submission holds that anyone would be laughing from because most of them are incredibly painful.
  3. Oh cool they are adding a BR - 2 course. That will be great for those that want a refresher but don't want to do the class portion.
  4. I thought most Ohio courses where $25 and they supply the bikes. I did the one out at Honda in Troy and they have dedicated courses for MSF and dirtbike MSF along with new bikes every year. Nice place. If it's at a Harley Dealer they are just doing to you like they do on their motorcycles...charge more than they are worth.
  5. The MSF course is general is pretty great. I had fun when I took it and my wife's confidence went way up afterwards.
  6. I don't know. I've seen more than a few wrestlers over the years have their asses handed to them on the ground by guys with no ground experience. Of course I've seen even more get their asses handed to them by jiu jitsu guys but that's a whole different story.
  7. Have her sign up for the MSF course. Once she finishes that she'll want to ride more than ever.
  8. Beautiful bike. Congrats man!
  9. My wife rides and will trek out on her own. It's cool having a wife that rides.
  10. yeah goofy goofy people. That was proven a fake long ago.
  11. I love days like this where even when it's cold as hell in the morning I can still run home just to grab my bike so I have it for the ride home after work. I've met guys that use a motorcycle as primarily transportation and almost never for fun. Even a couple of at the track only types when I lived in CA. Anyone else ride to work when they can? or when do you ride?
  12. Why would you trade down from an 07 600RR to any year GSXR 750?

    Gloves

I've read some good things about Teknics gloves on other sites. It's one of the brands I'm looking at before I settle for sure on a glove Friday.
  14. damn this thread is funny. Talk about stereotyping. I've known way more "good cops" than "bad cops" and I've known a ton. It's funny to see a few people that belong to a group (sportbike riders) doing the same thing they typically hate having done to them.
  15. damn people are stupid.
  16. He runs about 2 times a day? Well holy shit I never realized. That definitely changes my mind about things.
  17. You won't see me confuse Ronnie Coleman with a real athlete or a body builder with someone who is really fit.
  18. Maybe all those riders out there should just start with basics and get off their asses, eat better and exercise regularly. I have warm ups more involved than the silly little sample routine they give.
  19. yeah my fastest now is .014. My averages suck since I'm either jumping the gun or afraid of jumping the gun.
  20. I haven't been able to come close to it again though.
  21. Fastest time so far is .051. That's got to be luck.

    Gloves

Yeah I plan on getting the more track oriented ones first. My street ones will last a little longer I'm sure. I'll call them by the end of the week. I need cheaper hobbies.
