  1. Anybody know a good paint/body shop in the area where I could take a set of crashed fairings to be prepped and repainted? Would prefer to avoid any of the customary anal rapings if at all possible...

    :devil::takeit::devil:

Ask Bornsinner or Putty, they used Urban and he did a great job on their bikes. I think his shop is near the OSU campus. His number is 614-746-5600. I am taking my bike there some time soon to have some paint work done.

  2. Guy says it is all complete with about 16000 on it. I have a pic of it. Heres what I was told. I'm not sure what it means though.

The motor is in good shape had 16,xxx miles on it but less than that it was geared up -1 front +10 rear so it's probably more around 14,xxx. I have owned the bike since may 06 had no problems with it at all. It is a complete motor with trans, carbs, and all the wiring

He changed the front and rear sprockets on the bike and did not have the odometer recalibrated. Since he did not do that it makes the odometer read out more miles than it actually has on it.

  3. You guys ever go to the powder room? or New Albany shooting range? I do the powder room for winter shooting. Price is cool, old guys run it, so everythings relaxed.

Blackwing is nice too. I want to do the trap shooting they offer.

Putty, dragknee, and I usually go to the Powder Room. The prices there are rock bottom. We shot for an hour or so and only paid 8.50 for the booth and a bullseye target.

We usually buy ammo at Walmart since they do not force you to use their ammo.

  4. Yez. I walk, I run, I swim and dance. I can skip pretty damn good too! :bigfinger::lol:

I work at OSU Med Ctr and Live on campus so it is eay for me to just walk and save the money on gas and shit.

Where at on campus do you stay? I stayed in Mack Hall for two years.

  5. ok, I got off work at midnight and had to gas up before going him. Went to shell and saw a Harley roll in fill up and take off. No helmet, just a light leather jacket and chaps. Come on........

Damn, even in this weather he didn't wear full gear. He might have been a little warmer.

  6. Not to be the guy who sees the "glass half empty," but, we got a very late start on winter this year and Im worried it is going to run into the time when it would normally be warm.... :dunno:

Dude, why you want to bring me down??

I second that, down with yota :D Just kidding.

I hope it is all over with by the end of March...

  7. i've got a garage you could store it in. im up in westerville though. won't charge you too much. lol

Ditto, i have space in my apartments garage as well. Do you just need space for the winter?

Yeah I was just looking to stoe it for the winter. Where are you located at?

I live in Westerville near Iron Pony.

  8. Hey all. 31yr old guy with less than 3wks riding experience... I bought a Buell S3 in late 2004 when I was living in San Diego, first bike, rode it for a couple of weeks, then it sat in storage all of last year while I was in Boston. Now I'm living back here in Columbus and have it back. Pretty sure I have to learn all over again :wtf: Looking into the rider's course at A.D. Farrow where I'm having the bike tuned up after sitting for a little over a year straight, so if you see some fool out there in a couple of months trying to act like he knows what he's doing? Stop and say hi - it's probably me LOL

You should take the MSF course. It's cheaper and from what some of the instructors say it covers the same topics as the AD Farrow Course. One of the instructors at the MSF course worked at AD Farrow and taught their course too.

I think the charge is 25.00 and they post the schedule for the year on 02/01/2007. Just trying to save you some money, welcome to the board.

  9. Pedro,, we all know your a liar.. your lucky Putty didnt charge you rent for as long as that thing sat at his place. :)

Lol, the old apartment did not have a garage, the new one does.

As soon as i saw your name in the thread i know you were going to say something about the garage at putty's :) . I was waiting for one of those plastic wrap comments, you disappointed me, lol. :nono:

Now that I think about it my bike was at Putty's spot for a minute, his garage was a little snug with three bikes and a car... Good lookin Putty.
