  1. I will be looking forward to it. Like I said I will be glad to show you how maf tuning works. Will let you do some tuning if you like. Talk soon.
  2. I bought my Z in Sept 07 for $30,800.00. The dealer was asking $35,000.00. It had 6,000 miles on it when I bought it. It now has a little over 8,000 miles. I would be afraid to even know what the car is worth. I doubt I could get $25k for it.
  3. Stimmel, Why dont you come out to the shop next time I have a ford or ls1 car on the dyno with forced induction. I will let you give me a hand in the tuning process and show you how the maf works. Unless you plan on making over 1500 hp the maf will work. You can make over 1000 rwhp using a maf both on ford and gm pcm's.
  4. Both RL and myself are going to tell you to convert to mass air. It is really easy to do. Plenty of write ups about it online. Just gotta move some pins around. There are also some addtional connections needed that go to both the vss and fuel pump. There is no reason not to run a maf on a ford.
  5. I am thinking either monthly or bi monthly. I am thinking monthly which might yeild a better turn out on the dyno. Discuss. Also, I will look into getting a ATM machine that dispenses $1.00 bills.
  6. My Uncle Bill with the 68 Firebird you had on the dyno last weekend, just wanted to say thanks for the hospitality and how kind you guys where over at the shop, once he gets his carb issue figured out he will be back. Thanks Mark
  7. I bought a maf flange and installed it on the same pipe as the bov right before the coupler going to the the last pipe.
  8. One of Chads Kits Mild combination with conservative timing on pump gas. I have done a number of these kits now and have some good base tunes using the mafs provided by Chad. http://75.180.27.125:50001/Dyno%20Graphs%20and%20Pictures./Dyno%20Graphs/Hangem%20High.jpg
  9. Looks like I better get some rest and sleep in tomorrow. Looks like tommorrow night will be a late one. My first appointment is a custom tune on an LS1 at 3:00pm followed by some ford tuning. See everyone around 10:00pm.
  10. I will lend it to you if you can help me tie down cars.
  11. I will be here when you are ready. I promise you will be happy!
  12. For the right price I will place a brick under the pedal of your competition. J/K
  13. Hello All. This friday we will be having what I call friday night dyno fights. Here is how it works. Two people will dyno with 2 pulls each for $65.00 This is the regular price for 1 car. I figure we could do this one of two ways. You could either play by each car owner guess their horsepower and whoever guesses the closest makes the other one pay. You could also make it contest of who makes the most horsepower makes the other pay as well. I am also open to other ideas as well. Even if you just want to split the cost just to see what kind of power your car makes, I am ok with that as well. The purpose of this is to have some fun. Kick off time will be at 10:00pm and run until ??????????????
  14. Ramsey, Feel free to contact me regarding maf placement. This is critical when using a maf in a blowthru set up.
  15. Waiting for this to turn into a flame war.
  16. Rob, Mr. Nate was kind enough to answer your question. C16 will not be a problem. Thank you Nate for answering Mr. Rob's questions.
  17. What do you have left to do on the install besides the oil pan. All I have left is to get the maf flanged welded and I should be ready to start the car.
  18. Jason, I will be glad to help you with your pcm fan settings after you install the fans.
  19. Hello all. Thought I would take a minute to talk about DTM and its dynamomter. The dynamometer being used is a DynoJet 248 which is an inertia dyno. The wideband that I use is the same one as Pickups Plus with is a AFM1000 using a NTK Oxygen. According to Dave Darsh at Powertrain Electronics, the NTK oxygen is regarded as the best wideband oxygen sensor you can by. It better be for a pay $500.00 for just a sensor. The sensor is always calibrated at the begining of each day. The "sniffer" is a vacuum pump from dyno jet which I service 3-4 times a year replacing the internal parts to ensure the pump always pulls a good vacuum. I use Competition Data for logging. The AFM wideband connects to the Competiton Data module which then connects to the dyno. The Competition Data has four inputs for logging any 0-5v sensor. I currently use the AFM1000 (http://www.powertrain.net) for A/F's and a boost sensor (astsensors.com) from American Sensor Technology. I have used the other to analog inputs for EGT's, Fuel Pressures, and MAF voltages. I have been tuning Ford vehicles using Ford SCT software since 2003. I then aquired HP tuners for GM LSX vehicles after Eric made the transition to IPS. I believe this was sometime back at the end of 2006 and the begininng of 2007. From what I understand I have a pretty good relationship with my customers. If there is a problem they know they can call or e-mail me and I will do my best answer any questions or resolve any problems they are having. This is extremely important to me. However I do not have control of what a customer does once they leave the shop. I want to give a big thanks to those who have supported me over the years. I plan on to continue to provide tuning services for a long time to the central Ohio area. Dyno Tune is here to stay. The reason I believe this is because of the ongoing support I get from customers who believe in what I do. I am looking to expand Dyno Tune in the next couple of years which includes the purchase of my own building and a load bearing awd dyno. Service is beginning to pick up as well. FWIW. If you happy with a shop and/or a dyno then my best advice is to stick with that shop. I would rather see someone go to another shop and be happy with their results then to come to me and feel like they did not get the service they were looking for. Once again thank you to the supporters of Dyno Tune.
  20. I will give you the dyno rate that I had for OR which is $25.00 if you would like to make the trip to columbus. $25.00.
