1. I have been using 275/50 15's on my turbo car ever since drag radials came out.
2. Mark, Go ahead and put hp numbers from my sig on the list. The dyno guy has to have his numbers listed. smile.gif
3. I was impressed with your car. Snatch that cobra manifold and put a Holley system max and pick up 30 rwhp
4. I am selling dyno graphs. 1 dollar per Horsepower. How big a graph does everyone want? Come up with some more money turbo trio and I might consider giving u 150 hp
5. Thats why I am conservative on timing. I am using 24 pound injectors on a speed density car with 30 psi of fuel pressure with the vacum line off. I have had lots of fun with this car especially with the speed density. Next step is to play with a blower on it. smile.gif
6. By wiring relays in between my air charge temperature and coolant temp sensor. I am able to bypass the sensors and get the fuel needed when I am on the spray. Time to up the giggle gas some.
7. I had no idea they made them that big
8. I already have 42 pound injectors to replace my 36#'s For my combo, 36's are good for 540 rwhp and the 42's are good for 620 rwhp. I am shooting for 600 rwhp and 670 torque. How much of a fuel pump do I need for this? With a new intake and 13 psi. I should be there.

10. I have been experimenting with a dry kit on my POS for sometime now. Even after cranking the fuel pressure up with a shim in the regulator when the nitrous is flowing, I am still coming up short on the fuel needed to add 175hp of spray. So the next thing to do is increase injector pulse width. This car is a speed density car. So the only thing I know to do is trick my air charge temperature sensor and my coolant temperature sensor into thinking it has artic air entering the motor. I know that resistance changes across these sensors as the temperature changes. This, in turn, tells the changes the voltage back to the ecm and helps tell the computer the pulse width of the injector. My thinking was to get 2 12volt relays and wire them with my spray. When the nitrous is flowing, I would bypass the sensors. What I need to know is if I need to see a low resistance,( more voltage back to the ecm) or high resistance(less voltage to the ecm)I can then wire in the correct resistor with the relays to get me the voltage needed to tell my ecm to pour fuel to the motor. I am not worried about a rich condition. LOL I will just add enough SPRAY!! to compensate for it.
11. Looking for a turbo to support no more then 400rwhp. I am told a turbo off a powestroke or cummings motor is what I should look for. Thanks.
12. Thanks for the help so far. I must of forgot to mention, But the gear was replaced as well. I wonder If I will need one again after 100 miles.
13. I have a T-5 laying in my shed that I am thinking about using. The tranny originally would pop out of first gear as soon as you let out on the clutch. It would take several trys to get it to stay. A friend of mine tore it down and replaced the first gear, snycro, and the hub assembly. This lasted for about 100 miles. It is back to doing the same thing. Could it be a bent shift fork? What else could it be? I will let you all guess what car this is for. All input appreciated.
14. Scott, I want to take you down to see a guy in south end when you come home. I know this guy who does an awesome job with cages. He uses chrome moly and the welds look like a work of art. This one mustang roll bar had better paint then the car itself. You could see your reflection from all the clear coat on it. Plus he is resonable.
15. 306 with 8.5 compression. Ported Twisted Wedge Heads from TEA Ported Holley System max. .500 inch Turbo grind cam. 50 pounds injectors. 15 psi. 700 rwhp on 94 octane. This is my next project
16. How much do you want to spend?

nitrous

quote:
Originally posted by accorddood: if i were to get nitrous on the acorn for shits and giggles if i only ran a 35 shot, would i be able to run it often?(like 2 times a week?) also since the size of the shot isn't too big could i keep my stock exhaust piping? or would i need to get 2.25inch piping....?

Unless you plan on using at least a 75hp jetting. I would not waste my time. You are not going to feel anything major with a 35hp jetting. A friend of mine has 75hp shot on a prelude and I must say it woke it up. However his car makes 150 at the wheels on the motor allready. If you get it, I can put it on for you.
18. I get about 300 plus miles out of a tank in the 91 lx.
19. Interesting. I wonder if the car was originally an Auto. If you can come out to Hooters next weekend, that would be great.
20. Manual cars came standard with a 2.73 gear and 3.08 as an option. Matic cars came with the 3.08 standard and 3.27 as an option. Did u have the 3.27 gears put in? Not many people put in a 3.27 for a manual car unless it makes a ton of power with little rpm like my turbo car. 3.55 is usually the minimum gear to go with. Jack the car up and spin the tire 1 revolution. Count the number of times the driveshaft turns to verify the gear in the rear end. If it is a 3.27, it should spin aprox. 3 and 1/4 times.
21. One more thing.. Is the car an auto or stick?
22. Set timing at 16 degrees. Install a set of 3.73 gears. I was referring to the Throttle position voltage. Not your battery voltage. It needs to be as close to .99 volts as possible. Finally practice driving. It is going to take a little more to get your car going since it is a convertible. If you decide you want some work done to the car. Give me a call. I am doing work on the side along with the dyno. I am sure a few people on the board can tell you that I know a thing or 2 about these cars. Hope this helps.
23. If the car has a stock gear 2.73 or 3.08 and the camaro has a 3.42( ???), Then the camaro should still get him. I want to wait and see what he says first.
24. What is your fuel pressure? How much timing are you running? What is your TPS voltage at idle? What gear do you have? How do you guys compare as drivers?
25. Give me an exact dollar amount and I will give you the best combination of parts for that money. Your 8.8 rear end is more then strong enough. There are cars in outlaw running in the eights with 9 inch tubes. I will get back to you once you have a dollar amount.
