I started on F4i's. They are nice bikes but they are out-dated. As far as finding suspension components you are going to have limited options. Same with other parts...they are not bad bikes, just not as much aftermarket availability as some other bikes out there like the R6, GSX-R, Kawi, 600RR, etc. For the price, would be good for track day use....competive in racing....probably not, but depends on your skill level and your competition.
