Air in the system for sure . I filled mine to the top,moved the bike side to side. Filled up the reserve resovoir and let it idle till the fan came on. As it cools it will suck from the reserve. Let it cool all the way,open the cap and fill it to the top. Fill the reserve to the cold line and try it.

I know from experience the Ninja 250 will be too tall for a 5'3" rider. My wife is 5'4" and was on her tippy-toes. Which she didn't like being a new rider. Unless you want to shave the seat or put lowering links on it.

I got mine on ebay. I know some here disagree with what I bought,but I think I got a good deal for a starter trackbike.
