  1. my personal experience from what i saw most of them dont wave back and yes it seems the "better than you" attitude is there. I have heard the "buy american" crap also. Funny how if they have a "better bike" they seem to have a number of probs and they refuse to realize the noise coming out of their exhaust does not equate to power. Just my person experience with them.

  2. how are the timing chains on those, i know on the 350's they were a bit weak and most people who push the motors swapped the timing chains for a heavier one

i havent heard of any probs with the timing chains......just get all the marks lined up and install the link and no probs.....unless a tensioner fails. As for the Mikunis i had to get 1/2 thick spacer plates made at Morse Automatic Precision down on S. High Street because with the DOHC engine the top of the carbs would hit the camshaft covers.

This i knew in advance since i stay in touch with Terry Naughtin of Team Hansen Honda....real cool and knowledgeable guy when it comes to the cb450.

My next project i hope will be a cb350 since there are tons of parts around for em.

  3. If i lived closer I'de help scoop it up and get it home for ya,not only to be nice, but I'm restoring a 68 cb450 black bomber !!

nice....i just restored a 72 cb450...working on adjusting my Mikunis i just got for it....never screwed with Mikunis before but will fig it out.

  4. Sorry for the delay in a response there bro...but like our fellow biker stated...the 1972-1975 Kawasaki "H2" triple (affectionately known in the cycle world as "The Widowmaker") is like 3 250cc dirt bikes strapped onto one frame...the torque is phenominal! With a top speed of only about 100-110 MPH...there is still very few bikes (or cars for that matter) that can touch these things "out of the hole"...and some of the 1969-1976 H1's (500cc triple) were even scarier!

The Widowmaker is THE primary reason that Harley rider's hate Japanese-made bikes...they were crushing the local drag-strip competition right off the showroom floors!

But sadly, most widowmaker's were wrecked, and discarded many years ago...as they were very scary and hard to ride...kind of like driving a wheelbarrow! But if you keep the speed down...they remain a real thrill...especially if your girl likes to ride...the inline triple is inherrently unbalanced and vibrates like CRAZY! :)~

    check this H2 out

  5. Hey there fellow bikers! I happened upon this site with a link from the Eastern Ohio Sport Bikes group at yahoo groups...

    I'm currently have RUNNING:

    1973 H2 Kawasaki (2-stroke triple!!)

    1975 H2 Kawasaki (2-stroke triple!!)

    1986 ZX600R Kawasaki (Ninja)

    and in for repair:

    1985 ZX600R Kawasaki (Ninja)

We are based primarily out of northeast Ohio...anyone interested in a DEAL'S GAP roadtrip this year? :)

Welcome dude!....good to see others on here from my home town.

  6. i have the trex rear, front, and tree. work good for me.

thats because as stated your ram air is not designed as the one on my bike....Most of the 12 owners i know have yet to find a decent stand (triple tree) for them and now that the 14 is out probably wont unless they have one custom made or make one themselves. The 14's Ram Air is relocated to prevent such a prob.

  7. I bought the universal stand front/rear set for $99 from www.handyindustries.com back in 2004 and have used them on a ZX12, ZX636, and now a ZX14. 5 years for $99 bucks and my bike is resting on them both right now in the garage.

I'm purchasing some PitBulls though probably next year.

i got a set of T-Rex's they are ok...does the job EXCEPT.....when i want to use the front stand with the attachment for the Triple tree....cant use it...it presses up against my ram air intake in a bad way....so instead of risking a crack in the plastic i have to devise other methods for front suspension work.

  8. Hey guys and girls,

There is a ride on 04/11/09 with the CSBA here in Ohio. Everyone is invited if you are interested. We'll be stopping for lunch at sonic and riding back to Columbus. It's a total of about 173 miles round trip. I've never riden with them, but they seem like good folks and said they like to run, but no one is left behind.

Check it out below and i'll try to attach the map: oh-csba.com

We will have monthly rides on the second Saturday of the month beginning April 11th

To keep consistency and attract more riders we are going to have the same departure location each month.

The departure location will be Calvary Chapel of Columbus at:

    6075 E. Livingston Ave

    Columbus, Ohio 43232

We will depart for the ride at 9:00am.

will keep this info in mind...thanks

no doubt dude....temps in Vegas are rediculously hot come summer time....have taken more than one trip there during that time.

  10. briliance!!! You got to be kidding me... Both sides are to blame there. How does the motocyclist not see flaming lights in an intesection, and most of all how does the cop not see a rider crossing the intersection. Siren on or not you still check traffic flow before you cross a red light.

    yep its called "due regard"
