  1. I think these answers are right on the money. I can only add that the .300 blackout is a specialized caliber for short range & suppressed applications. If you don't have a suppressor and dont have plans to get one, your just throwing your money away on a niche caliber.

The 6.8 SPC is a superior round, cost about the same or slightly less and be alot more versatile (even at long range). The blackout shooter needs to be an accomplished reloader with the capacity and patience to load ALOT, especially if you train with your rifle.

If you want to become a SHTF type person, buy an AK74 and start buying up all the 5.45x39 surplus while its still cheap. Don't buy thousands of dollars worth of add on crap like EOtechs and fancy flash lights. By alot of rounds, magazines and train with the rifle!

    My 2 cents.

I see the 300aac having advantages that you can use the stock 556 bolt and magazines, all you need to get it up and running is a barrel. So the up front cost would not be as much if you already own an ar15 in 556 (mrp would take about 1min to do the conversion). Remington and cmmg have ammo available in both super and subsonic rounds.

If you do not already own an ar in 556, I agree the 6.8 is a superior round and you will be buying ammo specific magazines, bolts, and a barrel.

off the shelf ammo is not cheap for either round so you would most likely reload if you do any volume of shooting.

  2. What's with the waste wells they are drilling now? There are a few being drilled.near.coshocton

deep well injection is common practice for waste slurry and liquid hazmat disposal. Ohio has waste wells throughout the state, luckily none of which are located in my back yard :p

Newman's wife and other witnesses say that he was just trying to help his young grandson after the boy was trampled by shoppers, and only put a video game in his waistband to free his hands to help the boy.

he also had $600 worth of merchandise in his shopping cart ...

    Barnsley_chronicle.jpg

He was facing 800 charges to begin with. He had 37 SD cards full of pictures and videos of his crimes.

My brother sent me this update about the guilty plea:

I would have hoped for more than 7 years for rape of a child - however you have to consider that murder is 25 years max.

    USA! USA!

A Life Sentence for Possessing Child Pornography

Last week a Florida judge sentenced Daniel Enrique Guevara Vilca, a 26-year-old with no criminal record, to life in prison without the possibility of parole for looking at forbidden pictures.

A jury convicted Vilca on 454 counts of possessing child pornography, one for each image found on his computer. Under Florida law, each count is a third-degree felony punishable by up to five years in prison.

Sentencing guidelines indicated a minimum term of 152 years, although Collier Circuit Judge Fred Hardt had discretion to impose a lighter sentence if he concluded it was justified by factors such as constitutional infirmity or Vilca's mental health.

"Had Mr. Vilca actually molested a child," The New York Times notes, "he might well have received a lighter sentence."

  5. Serious considering picking up this setup! Thanks brosef

Whats the difference between the standard and MOE?

PSA will definitely get you the most bang for the buck. The MOE indicates that is has magpul moe furniture (stock, grip, trigger guard, hand guard )

  7. Hob, its typical. Everyone has an automatic defense mechanism they use when attacked, justifiably or not. These anti social mediums we use, phones, internet....etc only commonly serves to give those who fit the 'flight' portion of 'fight or flight' the balls to 'fight' back with their mouths or keyboards.

The day of good customer service is nearly gone and with it any portion of 'I give a sh!t' from even company owners.

imo: there are plenty of companies that will stand behind their products and take negative reviews as an opportunity to show this commitment and make improvements.

@hob, the only people that will attack an honest review are people that lack any business knowledge and do not know how to conduct themselves professionally

  8. If I read a review and the company stepped up and corrected the problem, than I will definitely do business with them.

If I read a review and the company does nothing to correct a problem, it would make me cautious in doing business with them.

If I read a review and the company attacks the reviewer, there is no way in hell they are getting my business.
