i called Joe Carson when I was looking for mine, they quoted me 40 bucks. They had to order and im not patient. IP website sucks just go in, they are right in front of the parts counter. 80 bucks max

IP has them for 70 -80 bucks, you'll need higher risers, and shorter cables unless you like cruise control I speak from experience, the feel is MUCH better.

Torque is listed in the specs, but HP is not, if Brian doesn't know i think it might be hopeless.....

Not to start any thing with Harley riders, but why doesn't Hardley post any horsepower ratings for ANY of their bikes? Can anyone tel me the horsepower rating for a 2006 Street Bob? Its a 1450cc bike that weighs 655 lbs so i figure its at least 50 horse.

FTR I used to ride a Katana and I can concur that they are not nearly as agile as other sport bikes, but a lot more comfortable... but with that in mind, I knew I couldn't whoop the curves and corners like the other bikes, because that's not what a sport cruiser is for. HOWEVAH. when I went on a group ride, the other members were kind enough to pause at stops until Lil Mama caught up. It only cost them a couple minutes, and it confirmed to me that there was in fact, safety in numbers. Maybe the group in this neck of the woods is just... different. Or maybe because I'm a chick.

I like the fine print....... ive never been on a group ride where someone was left. That being said a noob has usually laid his or her bike down. I'm sure the boob card worked in your favor tho

If a noob wants to go ride the twistys with some "expert" riders then so be it. I think Max was just warning against possibility of a serious accident and probably (secretly) plugging Gixxies riding school.......

Well I was maintaining the gap between me and John, when all of a sudden Justin whips up beside me and into the gap between John and I. Then he looked like he was trying to pass John, but as I said earlier, John's twin is faster. But I know, it's still a bit shamefull that a v-twin sport touring bike, that is 400cc bigger than my 14 year old 600cc I-4, took me on the straight. That's why I said "screw you Justin."

Group rides are one thing. Offering a performance riding course taught on the street is something else entirely.

I know that people need to learn, however as its been said before (by others as well as me) this is best done in a controlled environment. The street is not a controlled environment.
