Censorship really isn't the proper word to use in this case.

What was proposed was the opportunity for people to choose to filter those "words" on an individual basis. If you choose not to filter them, you can still see them.

At any rate, your choice to use them or see them is not affected by anyone else's choice in any way. Explain to me how that "censors" your board experience.

And for the record, I've used my share of the seven words plenty here. I have no problem with it, and most likely wouldn't use the filter if it were available.

OK, first of all im not getting into a pissing contest with a bible beater on here, but i will say this

1. The title of the thread is "Should we censor foul language?" , my post was directly refering to the number of votes for the Yes option as opposed to the "leave it the way it is" option.

2. The third option is "Yes, but allow members to turn off censor" Im not sure if something like this even exists....my theory is this was added in lieu of the "Hookers" option. If you wish to argue the meaning or use of the word censorship i suggest you take it up with Casper, as he is the one that started the thead.

3. Im my opinion ANY modification of what i say or type in ANY form, whether i am aware of it or not is CENSORSHIP

It looks like the majority of people do not want censorship........
