Its actually a custom built rig, but I'm using drives out of my old dell.

Greatly appreciated, I tried that with one drive, but not the other. As of now, I've still got nothing.

The two CD drives are on a single IDE ribbon cable. Why the fuck would they just go out one day? I know windows notices the disk, but I cant access it.

For some odd reason both of my cd drives quit working on me a while back. It isn't the controller on the motherboard, because I can see both drives in BIOS. I tried uninstalling them from the device list and then rebooting, and while windows did "reinstall" them, I still can't access them. They are there in 'my computer', and when I insert a disk the icon will change so I know that windows recognizes a disc being present, but when I try to access the drive it says "Please insert a disc into drive x". Any ideas? The firmware for both drives is up to date, and I've tried multiple discs in different drives. 2 drives, first drive is a JLMS DVD-ROM (XJ-HD16) second drive is a Sony CD-RW (CRX216E) Both of which suddenly stopped working at the same time (and it isn't a motherboard issue). Ponder on that, and let me know what you think.

Speaking of motorsports,I tried to order a simple part from them and instead of the 3 day time period that they told me it would take,they decided to call me after 7.Not only did they go 4 days over the time that they had agreed to,but when I get there,they told me that the part had been there all along and they weren't sure why no one had called.Seeing as how this was a part I needed within that 3 days,I called them on the 4th day asking where it was and they told me that it wasn't in yet.So why is it that they feel the need to lie to me over a $30 part?

I live in Westerville near 161 and Sunbury road,but you already know what my bike looks like.

Sorry for the delay in response,I've been hibernating.I ended up picking up a spotless 04' ex500 for $1,600. I appreciate all the response though!
