  1. Call center ain't bad at Jegs. If you want to go retail you can after you do the mail order and tech line for a bit. If you don't mind being gouged for info on a daily basis, it's not that bad. I started sales/tech line, moved to the retail store in about a month. Weekly paycheck wasn't bad either. If you don't mind the retail store it's ok, but sometimes the tech line is where it's at.
  2. The Soviet "peasant" tanks are all diesel leaking, hydraulic spewing nightmares with manual transmissions. Archaic is a good word to describe half of the Soviet armor. Buy an M113A3, roll around town with people in the back, and party like a boss.
  3. I love my 870, but I have a soft spot for this bad boy, due to the sheer badassery of it: http://cdn.armslist.com/images/posts/634566174760846518b4qtvu0i.jpg If the bayonet doesn't get his attention, load up the mag tube.
  4. I'm on my way in stocking some extra food up. I'd say I'm theoretically good for upwards of 4 months give or take. If you look at MRE's they're designed for a good shot of calories to provide energy utilized during combat/training. Potable water isn't impossible to come by, but having a source of abundant water and a way to properly filter it is a good idea. I haven't taken anything to the extreme, nor do I plan on it. I do plan to have some shit as a just-in-case-this-place-goes-to-hell-in-a-hand-basket type scenario were to develop. It doesn't hurt having extra beans and bullets around.
  5. I'd love to hear what California's definition of an "assault rifle" is.
  6. *YAWN* <----- Ain't skurred. 1st Amendment Rights protect them. Same as those fucksticks from the Westboro Baptist Church and all the other lovely hate mongers. It's America, so you can pretty much say what you want and it is protected.
  7. Marijuana is legal in California, so you can see where priorities lie and what is best for the "greater good." Granted, it's perfectly acceptable for the Law Enforcement community and Departments of the Government to operate without these infringements. I'm glad Mr.Barrett will not sell to any California agency due to the State's policy on .50BMG weapon ownership. "The modification has allowed military style rifles like the AR-15 to proliferate in the state, something Senator Yee said has got to stop. “It is extremely important that individuals in the state of California do not own assault weapons. I mean that is just so crystal clear, there is no debate, no discussion,” said Yee." Ignorance is bliss in California.
  8. California "protecting" its people against the bad black rifle. This is what happens when uneducated, gun hating lefties are allowed to hold positions in government. I thank God I live in Texas everyday.
  9. Not LMT. SOCOM and the UK Ministry of Defense has their contracts. Those 2 agencies are far from low bidders.
  10. Survivalist boards isn't bad for a broad spectrum. All of the above contain great info. I guess it kind of depends on what you plan to get into.
  11. Comin to Texas anytime soon?
  12. Tennessee honey with an ice cube.
  13. Working in sales. Far from my previous life.
  14. If you wanna get all high speed, look into Ft.Leonardwood. That's Sapper paradise, meaning Master Breachers course, CIED, explosive handling etc... The world of the Combat Engineer had opened up. I regret not staying in, because in reality, what I doesn't translate to the civilian world. Understand, your MOS is a specialty. Not everyone can do it, nor will do it.
  15. I'll let you know on the sight. I'm good on mags at the moment.
  16. I'm leaning towards the Mod 1 set up, and using an LMT buttstock with the ACE side folding stock adapter. Just waiting until they become availible again.
  17. I'm either doing the Troy MCS or the Sage EBR setup, just not 100% on either. I'm tossing a TA33R-9 on it here shortly, so I'll eventually come to a conclusion.

  19. Guns and ammo are becoming a better investment by the day.
  20. This statement needed to be posted again. It sucks for the avid shooter being unable to really enjoy your hobby. With the election BS, 2012ers, and the new Prepper push, I think it'll be to the point of stupid.
  21. I hear the Firearms/Ammo companies are working double to keep up with demand. Hopefully I can snag some Lake City surplus before it flies away too. I picked up 2-250 round cases this weekend.
  22. .308/7.62X51 is kinda scarce at the moment too. There seemed to be plenty of handgun ammo around in bulk at the gun show I went to yesterday. I think too many people are stockpiling shit again.
  23. My newest M1A Scout Squad (without glass at the moment) http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/tt236/Scotty_Sapper/1335498346.jpg (OD green stock) Better pic: http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/tt236/Scotty_Sapper/1335655123.jpg
