Since Ohio has barely shit for units, shit for training areas, and not to mention don't get shit for funding. It's a miracle any unit out of Ohio is able to deploy. Depending on a few job offers, I may have to do an out of state transfer to shake off my last year. I laughed @ the $10K/6 year re-enlistment bonus. I got $20K to re-enlist from being active duty, mistake on my part.

I'm currently with the 86th IBCT (Mountain) out of Vermont. I volunteered, got a slot with a heavy weapons company in Infantry land, then was told I'm goin with the cav scouts, then ended up in a PSD role. But in Ohio, I'm with the 811th Engineer Company (Sapper). I have a few guys from the 148th with me if you know a Sgt. Joyce (Think he was C Co.). Think I may end up over with you guys sometime. I used to be stationed @ Hood, but I've heard about the last mob through there. It's a great place if you're stationed there, but the rotating units coming in get shit on, for they're treated like leaches. Suck the post dry of gear, ranges, and barracks.

Fuck Atterbury, I hope it burns. Training there is worthless in all accounts, minus Miskatatuk (How ever you spell it) I'm pretty sure you'll end up at Ft.Polk, LA for good ol' JRTC if you're going to Afghanistan. You in the 37th BCT?

Various man-boy/man-man love, holding of hands, among other things. If it says anything, thursdays are refered to as "Man love Thursday"

That's just the tip of the ice berg in comparison to the other "interesting" things men have been seen and known doing.

The MATV models are in higher demand then the cougars, Maxx Pros etc... They still won't take a recoiless rifle round though, so I still liked my M2A2 ODSE Bradley a little better. Cool thing I have to say is the rear doors open suicide style. It's wierd when you first start dismounting them from the rear doors.
-
Our Bradley's had a 903ci Cummins V8. It was in the 1400+ ft lbs range as far as torque was concerned. Trust me, the MRAPs need all they can get.
-
There's a few more MRAP's, the MATV is the newest for Afghanistan thanks to the terrain. Cougar MRAP http://images.military.com/EQGpics/cougar_h_1.jpg Maxx Pro http://www.military-today.com/apc/maxxpro_mrap.jpg This among a few other vehicles like the Buffalo, RG-31, RG-33, along with a few other SOCOM and medical configurations.

Somalians moved north?

BTW, never seen a TOW missile system on one. But it's a great platform for the M2 .50 and MK19 thanks to its height. It was suppsed to be a "secret" vehicle, but it's really not. Inside is nice, thanks to the racing style buckets and 5 point harnesses. And the glass you see is the strongest part of the vehicle. Trust me.
-
It's the MRAP MATV, or the "All-Terrain" version of the MRAP. We have them, but they're too damn big to fit into places most the time. Visibility is shit out of them though, but it'll save your ass from most anything besides a recoiless rifle. They actually have an open dump basically, so no real muffler. Kinda loud, so you won't be sneakin up on anyone.

Yup, I use a Blackhawk Serpa for my M9 Beretta. I love the holster to death to be honest. It retains my weapon without fear of losing it, and not to mention being on my hip, I can draw fairly quick to utilize. http://www.impactguns.com/store/media/blackhawk/bh_serpa_tan.jpg I'm not a tac-ride fan myself, for the simple fact it pulls my pants down

My weapons are getting a fresh paint job here shortly I work for people who are semi-lacks on things like that. Not to mention, I get just about anything I want/need at the moment. Helps to make friends in "other" departments if you catch my drift. -Think bodyguard and go from there. That'll give you an idea of my "job".

Got a thumb drive full of videos from my last Iraq tour for that. I'll have pics to show from this go-around in time. I can upload the RPG range video, I'll post that up. Gonna take a day thanks to the shitty Honk Kong satelite wireless interenet BS I pay for. PS- What I have from what I'm doing now contains a fair share of info and faces. Not tryin to be an ass, but it's for operational security at the moment. It will come though, I promise.

My M4/M203, TA31 ACOG, and PEQ-15. http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/tt236/Scotty_Sapper/DSC00059.jpg My M240B (Naked pics, but I have more goodies, just won't show) http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/tt236/Scotty_Sapper/DSC00022.jpg Those that knew Kenny: http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/tt236/Scotty_Sapper/DSC00020.jpg And a small portion of the terrain I'm in. (Yes, they're all around like ninjas, in towels and tennis shoes) http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/tt236/Scotty_Sapper/DSC00062.jpg I do have more weapons, but at the present time I will not show them for security reasons.

I have heard it's accurate for some odd reason, maybe Greg will tell you a story about that. But, as I have heard, as your rounds through the weapon increases, so will your problems. I've heard of jamming issues, overall parts breaking, and a pain in the ass to tear down for cleaning. Only thing I ever thought about was the hi-point carbine.
-
I still wouldn't trust my life in something that costs $150. Like Greg said, good thing it only sees action at the range on paper.

A lot of times, the quality tends to find its place within the Military: Example: Army Rangers, Green Berets, Navy SEALS, Marine Recon/MARSOC, PJ's, TACPs, won't forget Delta as a whole. Quality is the tip of the spear we used to thrust. Boots are on ground long before bombs are dropped. You just see the cool COD like footage on TV.

Funny thing is you are about 50% wrong. Not anyone can actually be trained to do this, as simple as it sounds. I know some super smart people that enlisted, and have to be the dumbest individuals when it comes down to the basic Infantry shit. Again, I feel the need to correct you from these qasi-COD style scenarios. People that think usually die first. From what I know/do, Soldiers/Marines ACT. That's plain and simple. You over think the situation, that's it, you're already fucked. Thinking doesn't get shit done, it's the physical acting part that does. Hours/days/months of training that is pounded in your head and body takes over. You take action and it tends to fall into place. Don't need an M.I.T graduate to accomplish that. And yes there are tests upon tests before entering the US Military. Not to mention, further tests once you are in. Contrary to popular belief, the Military has some smart SOB's.

Felony/Dishonorable Discharge from the US Military are one in the same, as in your RIGHT to own a firearm is taken. Expunging your record is a great way to start, then move from there.
