  1. Most every ama superbike runs a 200/55 and the supersport/sportbike classes use 190/55's. Brian is 100% correct in case of raising the front and dropping the rear. No two tire brands sizes will carry the same suspension set up required. ie; michelin uses a triangular profile ad a pirelli or bridgestone or dunlop has a much more rounded profile
  2. Todd, Ill have to see if i can dig up the pictures but i did a complete paint job on one of those last year. We kept it 100% original, the pearl white and blue scheme and I had tapeworks remake all of the decals.
  3. Thanks for the kind words and i appriciate your business. If I can find that rear set ill send it to ya on the house

  7. I rode one a 650 cruiser over 620 miles in one day and had fun every minute of it. It was a brand new unit with only 100 miles when i rode it. No real big complaints, Id rock one if i was looking for an entry level cheap cruiser
  8. Dont run frame sliders on a track bike. In the event of a crash frame sliders can dig deep into the dirt and cause the bike to flip rather than slide. Non of the teams that i paint for use sliders citing the above and that due to most mounting points depending on the crash they can alo do more frame damage than good ie: snapping motor mounts and snapping themselves leaving a broke bolt to extract
  9. Supposedley that guy is dead
  10. For jed's to claim themselfs as a bbq place but only serve a pulled pork sanwich is false advertising. No brisket , ribs or any other goodies. Ill pass

  13. Ive been in the business for a while in columbus and i can tell you i wouldnt let first impressions 3c or combs fix a wheelborrow for me. The whole crew at first impressions is all former 3c employee's. Three c has a horrible reputation and after working woth several guys who worked at combs i can tell you they do whatever it takes to shove the car through the process. As for you Dealership bashers, In order to get a job at our shop we all had to first be ase and Icar gold certified. Our equipment is updated on a regular basis and we spray the best paint money can buy. While it is true that select dealers only have shops due to being mandated by the mfg, it is not a requirement for ours. Tansky is the only toyota certified shop in columbus. I reccomend asking what brand of paint will be sprayed. Ask if its a solvent or a waterborne system. Anyone up to the times and standards should be using waterborne. Almost all car mfg's have been using water for the last 10 years. Avoid any shop that is willing to pay or assist you with your deductable. RUN FAST... Ever heard the term theres no such thing as free money? that deductable comes out of the repair, Ive seen it a thousand times. Roush is a good shop theyre a state farm select service program which is a hard program to maintain a good rating on. Who is your insurance with? I can tell you about how smooth things will go .

  18. Negative to the sanding and not buffing. You would see either the d/a marks from sanding with a d/a or the finger marks from wet sanding because even if you were to try and use a block you can possibly get a block into every crevice. Not to mention thats way more work considering youve got to clear it either way.
  19. It doesnt matter how flat you go that has nothing to do with the protection level. All the flattening agent does is dull the gloss of the clear. You still have a fully protected surface just like a full gloss clear.
  20. Hey figure out what brand of paint line you use and i can tell you the steps of how to achive the flat look. Its all done with a flattening agent that is mixed into the clear. The ratio's will change depending on how flat you want the finish to be. Whether it be semi gloss, eggshell, or a true flat no gloss. Ive done sevearl Ducati's to match the factory flat black and have to go with the eggshell. Let me know Id be happy to give you some guidance.
  21. ^^^^^^^^ this guy is a bad ass with an airbrush. While id say id like to do it for you, reimbrandt's artwork is second to none
