It's been doing it for the past 3 tanks at least. I honestly don't remember, its always 93/94 but I kind of just get gas wherever I can, I don't like to ride too far after the light comes on. When i bought the bike a little over a month ago, it'd start right up, with just pulling the choke out and hitting the button. But over the past week or so I've noticed I have to have the throttle twisted just a hair, or it'll just crank and crank. Why is this? I've put about 900miles on the bike this month, but nothing's changed afaik. If its normal, that's fine, I'm just curious why the sudden change? Also, is it ok to ride for a long period at like 5000 rpms? Or higher? Long period meaning like 15/20 minutes.

This is the ONLY thing I hate about the hawk. It kills me, but there's nothing I can do, no matter how slowly I twist the throttle closed, or on hard/slow shifts, it does it, makes me look retared, lol. Actually the bike wouldn't be 100% for me. It'd be a 2nd bike for me and a first for my girl, we'd go half on it. thanks for the input

I think i found a good bike. Here's the ad... its a 2001 Yahama YZF 600r. It has been barely ridden, and only has 4500 miles on it. It runs perfect, and is in great shape. Goodies on it include a vance and hines sss2r slip on exhaust, tinted windshield, flush mount lights, and a tank bra. I bought 996cc, aka a 1liter bike for my first one, sure its a vtwin, but it still overkill, but I'm definitely glad I did because I did get more comfortable on the bike very quick, and I think if I would have gotten a 250/500 like I was thinking about I'd already be looking for a new bike. But my bike has enough power to make me happy whenever, but just throwing that out there, since I've only been riding for a month.
