  1. yeah i am kinda in the same boat. i run out of lean angle before the tires would even consider going. which is why i have had to raise the bike up some to gain a little more lean angle. still scrape shit though.
  2. had metzelers on my roadstar... they had the worst tire wear pattern i had ever seen. but i guess there are two places they are manufactured.. one is better than the other i guess.
  3. 871, thats just with all fluids full no luggage etc.
  4. not on a HD touring you cant.. they dont have the load rating, or id be all over a set of sport touring tires.
  5. also the term "darkside" should be renamed to "retards" who in there right mind would think a car tire is a good replacement for a motorcycle tire car tires are not made to handle lean angle
  6. when i buy a tire, mileage is at the bottom of my list. im looking for the best wet/dry traction tire i can get better stability in the corners its pretty tough finding a decent tire for a harley but the avons do very well suprisingly
  7. these are the type of questions that i have to read on the harley forum.. seriously? these guys spend $20k on a bike, do 10K in mods, then want to be a cheap ass on tires?? if you got that kind of money, put a new set on every 5k regardless.. dont get me started on the guys running car tires.. these guys must put 20,000 highway miles on a year or something. im sure every tire they have is flat down the middle. hdforum.com has some good info on it.. but its mostly a bunch of fucking idiots. just had to vent a little.. these "harley guys" make me hate the brand, FUCK!

  15. So how did the fat man in red treat ya this year? I made out well.. Got a few pair of dickies pants Some harley garb for the garage And enough green backs to order the RaceDeck flooring for the garage, gonna place my order tomorrow when they are open. Should have it by saturday!
  16. I agree you leatn more in one track day, then years and years of street riding. I ride in reserve on the street, you never know whats around the next corner. But traveling on a bike is anazing, ill never give that up
  17. i know alot of people who started riding the track have completely stopped riding the street. i know the track is alot of fun.. and probably the most exciting riding i have ever done. But there is no way i could stop riding the street. I love to tour way to much. nothing like traveling the back roads on a motorcycle.
  18. looking for a drill press one with a stand, or a table top model.. also looking for a router, bandsaw, table top belt sander anybody got anything they are getting rid of?
  19. cant comment on the brake light trigger thing, for the f4i was a track bike only. but it did trip the clutch switch if thats any help i was impressed by the quality of the levers.. i think i paid $60 shipped or something. took a while to get them but for the money i was more than pleased
  20. disagree somewhat.. i have a cut off wheel that i bought for like $12 on sale.. going into it thinking aww ill use it till it breaks. i have tortured the hell out of this thing, and sometimes i dont even oil it. but it just wont stop working.. i just picked up a 13 drawer 44" roller tool box (bottom section) and its as nice if not better than the craftsman ball bearing roller cabinet. the drawers as super solid and have a huge load capacity.. feels better quality than the craftsman box i was thinking of purchasing. 99% of there hand tools are junk but i have there impact sockets (standard and metric) i have a set of polished Metric wrenches (32mm - 6 mm) and a flux welder.. the impact sockets, and wrenches are great quality, i use the HF polished wrenches more than my craftsman, jsut for the fact they feel better in the hand. my welder i got, i bought cause it was on sale plus i had the 20% coupon, for the money i paid it could break tomorrow and served it will have served me well. i bought some lincoln tips and lincoln wire for it, worked good for the jobs i needed it for. /Rant guess all im saying is there is some stuff there thats a good value and will last i dont know how many wrenches, sockets, ratchets i have broke and hand to return to sears for replacement..
  21. What a steal, id love to have that for a track bike... Jealous
