im a little worried about that as well. but for touring id like to step up to a FJR1300.. so i wouldnt be worried about going fast or really tearing up twisties as much as jsut traveling

no i agree.. im not gonna drop a dime until i try. riding street since umm shit i think i was 17 when i first started riding. rode dirtbikes a little beofre that. first bike was a 86 750 interceptor then 95 CBR 900rr 01 zx7r 03 954RR 99 superhawk 99 shadow ace 05 suzuki m50 04 r6 current 03 vfr (i may be missing one in there)

sunday.. weather is looking so so right now. should be fine on the way down.. but the weekend down there is looking at 50% chance of rain

no i havent. BUT... i have a friend who has 2 F4I track bikes, and he is going to be generous enough to let me do a track day with one to try it out first. letting me use his leathers, gloves, boots, and bike. what a nice guy. if i like it... which im pretty sure i will.. then ill be looking into a track bike mroe seriously

nice choice... my next bike (besides a track bike) will be a FJR1300

you dont soak the wrap in water, you wet it. which i did. wrapped tightly the kit for the wrap came with metal zip ties, but they are junk. alot of people use hose clamps for the wrap. and the hose clamps are on the wrap.
