  1. if you look, the grips are the same if not just a tad thicker then stock grips. the rubber runs the full length of the grips, the aluminum collars are thin, but not to thin to be chinsy, they fit over the grip itself. the definately will help reduce vibration.
  2. when brian dyno tunes bikes does he pinch the hoses off for correct AF readings or no? if he doesnt then im gonna go ahead and delete mine, or atleast make it so i can bypass it when he tunes mine.
  3. after having them on the bike now i want the driven bar ends damnit... lol it never ends
  4. well i got my grips in today. ordered them off ebay. i was looking into these or the rizoma grips, both are about the same. except the rizoma grips on the throttle side, the grip is also the throttle tube. i went with the driven grips because 1. the rizomas are a little more expensive 2. i didnt want to take off my throttle cables and what not. break down pre install.. price $49.95 shipped to my door, and i received them quickly too! aestitically the same as the rizoma girps kreton gel grips a+ you can change out the color of the aluminum collars if you like, black collars come standard. you can also order any color grip you want.. i chose the grey grips post install.. very easy install. does not require grip glue. i just used some rubbing alcohol to lube the bars/grips so they would slide easily onto the bars. also using rubbing alcohol it will evaporate and not let the grips slide after install. i did however end up trimming a little bit of the rubber part of the grip on the throttle side, just a little bit, and if you didnt know you could never tell. it was sticking a bit rubbing either on the bar end or the throttle housing, the quick trim fixed that right up the grips feel great, very comfy and feels good in the hand. i havent got to ride with them yet so ill post back after a ride to say how they are on the road. i dont know if this is gonna bother me or not, but with my hands on the bars, the actualy rubber of the grip doesnt go all the way where my hand is, i have basically my first finger that i think will rest on the aluminum collar. will it effect how it feels on my hands?? i dont know till i go for a ride. i feel as if they will be leaps above the comfort of stock grips, but only time will tell. flat out they look great on the bike! i think now i wish i would have gotten black grips instead for the fact that i think the grey will get dirty very quick, and i think they stand out a bit to much. from the pictures, when i was ordering them they looked a bit darker shade of grey, but o well all in all so far without actually road testing them id give them a 8.0 out of 10. this is based purely on looks, and feel before actually getting to put them to use. and just because.. i ordered a new set of flush mount turn signals because the ones that were in there were some knock off korean ebay junk. i bought a set of Hot bodies smoked led flush mounts. alot of people on other forums complain about quality and say its a bad product. IMO for the money they are great turn signals, fit good, easy install and are pretty damn bright!

  6. looking good brennan P.S. give me your steering stabalizer, kthnxbye
  7. you cna get them pretty cheap on ebay brand new
  8. yes i have, but id like some protection for my backside as well
  9. whats a nice pair of STREET riding pants. something with some protection, and comfort. been looking into the riding jeans, icon, shift, coretech, alpinestar, joe rocket... are these worth the money? what options do i have outside of those? something that doesnt get to hot on summer days, something that is over the boot. suggest away, and if you have a pair of riding jeans / pants, please give me a review. thanks in advance
  10. you should have just capped the hoses. saved you time and money.

  13. yes sir. plus the bags have a heat resistant panel on the back. but they are far enough away from my LOR pipe
  14. shit i dont know.. i better just keep looking till i find what i want
  15. i do like the alpinestar smx-4 boots
  16. over the seat, but i im gonna see if they will go under. since im taking a trip with the wife on the back and need the storage. even if i have to modify it some ill make it work under the seat
  17. dmanit damnit.. just got back from the pony, they donteven have the joe rocket super street boots in stock .. they said they can order them, but why do i want to order a pair of shoes i dont even know what size i wear in them. i tried some other joe rocket boots on, and got on the r6 they have sitting near by.. i can barely get my foot underneath the shifter, and where the heel is on them it puts my foot in an uncomfortable position for riding. im assuming the super street boots will be the same.. so im gonna have to x them out. i tired on the sidi street burners as well.. and i must say they are overpriced for the level of protection. plus they ave a pressure point on my foot that hurts just standing in them. this sucks.. i thought i had it pinned down to the joe rockets i tried every pair of boots on in there today.. the only pair i actually like comfort wise are the alpine star smx1. i just dont know if its good enough protection.
  18. for his 99 we just used the regular hid kit, so there is no hi or low, with the headlights on both lights are running all the time. they are super bright. if you want hi/lo option the price jumps up a bit to like $125 plus shipping. btu with how bright the bulbs are without a high beam it wasnt an issue to him. i dont know if you can retro fit the 03-05 r6 projectors in or not. most people when retro fitting a projector tend to use the projector housing from the infinity fx35. that is a true HID projector housing and commonly used in retro fits. so you would retro fit one fx35 projector housing per headlight.
  19. i bought the d-3 alumitech grips today.. but damn you for posting that link.. now im gonna buy the bar ends
  20. yeah your rightone the soles of the icons.. shit!!! the sidi dohas...they look too soft lol.. i dont think they would protect my foot very well
  21. yeah the actual HID kit is like $80 shipped from DDMtuning.com he wants to know about projectors into his bike
  22. probably not, i mean if i decide to do a track day then ill probably invest in full race boots, and probably a nice 1 piece. but im almost 99% sure im not going to ever do a track day. i enjoy riding the street, taking trips and such too much. and im just not really into track riding. i think i may have to go to the pony tomorrow and try those joe rockets on again, i think im almost positive about getting those. only took 3 months lol.. i dunno though things could change from now till tomorrow
  23. i ws there friday, and they didnt have them. they said march.. uber gayness
